Happiness is a well-behaved dog. The Educator Remote Training Collar is made specially to help you make your bad dog good and your good dog better! The Mini Educator ET-300-TV 1/2-mile dog training collar system is loaded with features, making it the most humane and effective trainer available. Made for smaller hands or situations where discretion is important, the waterproof mini transmitter remote is 2.64" diameter x 1.29" thick. The receiver emits a tapping sensation, similar to intense vibration, and includes a Pavlovian tone delivering clean, effective stimulation. The user-selectable levels range from 1 to 100 with "lock and set" technology to prevent overstimulation. A boost feature with a range of 1 to 60 gets your dog’s attention when extra stimulation is needed. The transmitter "stopwatch" design is ergonomic, controls a tracking light with either flash or continuous on the receiver for use after dark. A beeper can be turned on to help locate a lost transmitter. System includes waterproof floating transmitter remote with lanyard, waterproof receiver, 3/4" x 30" waterproof, odorproof Biothane collar, rechargeable lithium polymer batteries charge in just 2 hours, battery charger (120V/220V), test light, contact points (5/8" and 3/4"), contact point installation tool, and storage box. • Good eCollar
Size: 1 Dog Color: Yellow
Set up can be a little challenging and making a change between tone and vibrate requires pressing two buttons at the exact right moment. Wish they had a tone, vibrate, and stim button. Also would like for the tone and the single pulse stim button to be different colors (they are both black). The controller is a little larger than I like. Everything else about the collar is really nice. Love the adjustment, lock feature, and the range. ... show more

  • Was skeptical - now impressed.
Size: 1 Dog Color: Yellow
Started using the e-collar and watching accompanying video less than 2months ago. Just follow the directions it works! My 2yo lab mix had her basic commands down but did not do well coming back when off leash or healing on walks (always pulling). After a few scares where she ran off for a long time, I decided to try the e-collar. She responded to it very quickly and within about 3 weeks she got it. Now she will heal off leash and after her making sit and giving her the command “release” she is off to explore. She doesn’t venture too far and consistently comes when I call her. I need to add in the signal maybe 50% of the time mostly to get her attention. My only complaint is that it can be a challenge to get the contact points to contact her skin. What I have found is that I need to rake her fur backwards with the collar on to dig through her fur. ... show more

  • Tremendous help in 'taming' & redirecting our dobie puppy.
Size: 1 Dog Color: Yellow
Watch the videos (there are lots of them out there), be frugal but consistent in its use, & importantly, prioritize your targeted commands & keep your verbals to one consistent word or very short phrase. We are not professional (or even competent) animal trainers, but we love our puppy passionately & desperately want him to be a happy, social, & well behaved fellow. Our #1 targeted behavior was destructive: emptying the trash can all over the kitchen, chewing furniture & shoes, and attacking he cat. He soon learned the firm 'no', & we were able to add 'off'. Since he is as tall as I am, leaving food or fun looking stuff on the counter tops, dressers, etc seemed to be an open invitation for him. Jumping up on us as well as our guests also fell into this category. By this time, he had the idea, & that behavior was also quickly modified. We've used the Education a month or 6 weeks, & we now seldom actually have to press the button because he has learned the verbal cues. New cue words for new changes have been added without having to actually use the e-collar. But we keep it on him because he's still a puppy, & we want him to be safe. We're still a work in progress, but the change in our little(NOT) dogs behavior is amazing. We've never had to had to use it often, & we are now spend most of our days play/teaching him & rewarding appropriate ways to be a cherished family member. ... show more

  • You can communicate with your dog with this! Worth the price
Size: 1 Dog Color: Yellow
Worth every penny, we can walk with our dog off leash now. Took about a month for my dog to adjust to the new command, but the TONE/sound feature I now use instead of yelling “come” or otherwise to get her attention. It’s amazing. I barely ever have to use the shock/vibration because she knows if she comes when she hears the tone/sound she won’t be shocked. It also allows you to set the shock/vibration really low, you can use it more as a way of communicating/reminding with your dog instead of hurting them. I bought a backpack for my dog to wear that stores her leash if I ever come upon another person or dog on the trail, only to make that person more comfortable (this collar makes recall/come command easy!) ... show more

  • We learned together ❤
Size: 1 Dog Color: Zen
So glad I purchased the version with instruction video! My dog and I learned this together. Within a week I only used the tone feature to get her attention. It's like a language barrier has been removed. I love her enthusiasm. Now when I give command she is happy to obey. Like most other users - I wish I had started this sooner. Very good training tool. ... show more

  • Inconsistent lower stimulation levels made it useless.
Size: 1 Dog Color: Zen
I was hopeful. I ended up returning it, though. Aside from great difficulty getting this to connect to my thick and long-haired dog, even with longer conductors, the ultimate issue with this collar was that it lacked consistency. What I found out by lots of testing this collar on myself was that I couldn’t feel it on lower levels (under 10) but as I gradually turned it up, I would start to feel it between levels above 10 and closer to or at 15. At that point I would turn the levels down and would then get a good reaction from lower levels at which I previously could not feel at all. It would then return to being unnoticeable after sitting but with power on, unless I turned it up higher, again, and so on and so forth. That was a deal breaker. I wanted this to work at its lowest levels, consistently. As it did not, it became useless. It’s not a good tool of you can’t use it effectively at the lowest levels. As far as how it actually feels: I wouldn’t describe it as a tapping sensation as others have. It feels (on my forearm and neck) like a little bee sting or a very fine burning. This is at lower levels (10 to 30). I didn’t try it on myself above 30 and certainly not on my dog anywhere close to 30, though it goes much higher. ... show more

  • User friendly! Great Quality!
Size: 2 Dog Color: Yellow
The collars are awesome! Great quality! The only issue is that the battery life seemed to be slightly shortened fairly after the purchase. Other than that, it is great on our dogs' skin and they work as expected. I would highly recommend purchasing this! Oh, we really also like that we can program two dogs onto one remote! That's a perk! ... show more

  • Made the anxiety worse
Size: 1 Dog Color: Yellow
Our dog has some separation anxiety and also has had some leash issues (pulling too much, yapping at other dogs when he is on the leash) He is a beagle/hound mix much like the dog in the instructional video. We want him to be able to run freely so we were SO excited to try this out and gain some control. Because of his anxiety, we knew we would need to take it extra slow. Well no matter how slow we went, this collar scared the hell out of him. When it was on, he would sit in the corner and curl into a ball and when he heard a command/ beep, he would be even more flustered. We tried to give it time but I can't stand seeing our little guy freak out at the sight of this collar. For what it is worth, it does seem pretty well made. Not sure about the durability but the product is nice enough. ... show more
