I ordered the Edge Control Gel. It contains black castro oil which you can smell. It gives a nice medium hold in my opinion as well as added moisture. It takes a minute for it to completely dry but I like it.

This gel is fantastic!! It keeps my edges in place and protected. The gel smells good to me, but my sister thinks it smells kind of weird. Maybe she’s right, but whatever….I like the smell!! I use this faithfully when I wear wigs so that I don’t agitate my hair and edges too much and cause breakage. I usually make sure my edges are oiled a little because the gel dries my hair out a little bit… not too bad though. Best of all, this edge gel protects my edges all day long! It stays put until I take my hair down in the evening. I love this gel forever! ... show more

Sadly, I cannot recommend this Edge Control Gel I ordered this for the black castor oil addition. I used it to define the "baby hair" edges near my part. Very little was needed to lay my hair flat and add an edge. The castor oil allows it to spread easier than most gels. The first thing I noticed was a shine where extra gel was on my forehead. I carefully wiped that away and went about my business. I checked about an hour later and my edges were no longer "under control" my hair looked dry and as if I hadn't put anything on it. This may work better for pre-braid gel, but I don't braid my own hair, so I cannot say for certain. ... show more

I was shocked at how well this works it even holds my edges for a couple of days without having to reapply as long as I tie my hair down I would recommend and I’m going to get more

This is very manageable and malleable when aiming for certain curls and keeping it fully in place. I definitely like the tint it has and it's not too dark or tints my skin. Great for everyday flyaway hairs you definitely want to control!

I have curly/wavy hair and always like to have some styling cream or gel on hand. When it arrived it was packaged well and nothing was spilling out of the jar which was a good sign. The ingredients listed on the product are good and seem like they are perfect for styling and moisturizing my hair. The product looks black in the jar but is really an amber color when taken out. It smells like a deep blueberry or elderberry smell so I personally think it smells amazing. The hold is good, I definitely would only use this on my hair when its damp.
