I use this to make a muscle pain cream. I put it in shea butter, coconut oil, some frankinsense oil, cinnamon essential oil, and peppermint essential oil. It really helps my back pain.

If you know anything about tennis elbow (tendinitis), then you know it's a long road to recovery. I went through a few jars of Tiger Balm before trying Young Living's "Deep Relief" which worked very well to ease the tendon pain in and around my elbow. Then I discovered Eden's Garden and "Muscle Relief" which is their version of YL's Deep Relief. It works just as well and is quite a bit cheaper. "Muscle Relief" is also great to rub on your neck when it's feeling "stiff" or if you notice you're getting a knot in your back. I also use it on my 7 yr old's knees when he complains of growing pains at night. He specifically asks for it, and he says it helps ease his discomfort. As far as the aroma, it has a medicated/menthol smell. But it's not nearly as strong as the smell Tiger Balm gives off. I personally like the smell of Tiger Balm, but dear hubby hated it....so I was limited to when I could use it. He doesn't seem too bothered by the smell of "Muscle Relief", though he's not a fan of essential oils in general. Says the house smells like trees when I diffuse any oils. So you either love essentials oils or you hate 'em. :/ I purchased separate roller fitments (roller balls) via Young Living to put in the neck of the bottle. This makes it easy to apply to a specific area without using more than you need (which is easy to do with those little bottles). ... show more

I tried everything!! Spinal stenosis is my neck. Years of Hell. I was finally able to do the exercises needed to strengthen my neck because of this oil. Put it on your jaw, and ear area. All the muscles are involved in a neck injury. I couldn’t even drive a car before I found this. Takes time. One day at a time. Physical therapy os the key!!! ... show more

I LOVE the smell and the results from this oil. It feels so relaxing. Also coupled with the fact that my hubby massaged it on to my shoulders...I'm sure the massage also helped me feel better. But it has a nice cooling sensation and a calming scent. The reason I was disappointed is that I found out, after purchasing and using it, that one of the oils in this blend (wintergreen) can be toxic. It has a compound that is found in aspirin...or something like that...but too much wintergreen oil gives the effect of an aspirin overdose and can be very bad. Since I'm pregnant, I decided not to use it for now. So I'm bummed because it was really helping my sore back. Oh well...I will save it for later. :) Just research wintergreen oil before you start using this oil every time you have an ache and pain. ... show more

Updated: After using this for 2 montgs, i can say, I am 100% satisfied as this synergy blend is awesome. I just ordered two more bottles as I use it for myself, my husband and my 16 year old. Both my husband and 16 yr old have had two surgeries on their knees to repair theor acls and partial minisectomies (partial removal of their miniscus). This stuff works!!! Definitely comparable to doTerra's Deep blue and Young Livings PanAway. I have used both and was eager to find something cheaper. I loved it just as much, if not more because the price is so reasonable compared to the other two companies. I have already ordered more. I use it with a carrier oil (CO) sweet almond oil and massage on my knees, back and thighs after a hard workout. My husband also is getting spoiled as I apply it to his back, knees and ankles after a hard day at work. I have been using it for two to three weeks now and I haven't had to take any meds for pain or stiffness after workouts. I used to have to take 2-4 pills daily. Love this stuff. ... show more

I have been using some other essential oils and like them-but wanted to try a less expensive line to compare-bought the Muscle Relief 1st and have been using it ever since. It is GREAT!!! Both my husband and I injured our backs in the past couple weeks-he lifted a heavy box into a shopping cart-and my sciatica started acting up around the same time. So I was using this on my lower back and then started using this on my husband's back where he pulled a muscle. Within a day we could see the difference. Now I used this formula mixed in a roller ball (about 20 drops then filled with FCO) at least a few times a day-it seemed to have an accumulative effect-tho it worked the 1st time-by the 3rd or 4th time my back truly felt so much better! I would highly recommend this product as well as others by Eden's Garden. I just placed a good size order to them and will continue to do so. This is powerful oil for neck stiffness and pain. I put it straight on the sides my neck and it definitely went to work within minutes to relieve the pain and my neck felt better in the morning (usually it hurts worse when I wake up). I have also used it for knee pain and it worked exactly the same. You can use with or without a carrier oil, but for maximum relief use without. It also has a nice peppermint like smell and runs so much cheaper then young living oils. Update: I continue to use this and find myself using it more now for sore muscles after workouts at group fitness classes I began in the last few weeks. My fiance also has discovered this Edens Garden blend for his knee. He has a lot of adhesions from a surgery over a decade ago and it really bothers him when the weather is really dry.
