A nightmare to assemble, but excellent when finished. Looks fantastic and excellent low cost solution for a patio cover. Light rain doesn’t come through the canopy, but it does collect on top so you have to push it to the edge to drain. Anchored it with tent auger stakes and bungee cords, which has worked great so far. No problem in thunderstorms as long as canopy is retracted. Very happy with the purchase considering the low cost. ... show more

Came missing all the hardware except for a few that was used already by whoever sent it back, 3 out of the four corners poles are damaged with big dents and scrapes, came with no instructions.

    • Easy to dent. Flimsy. Not stable in light wind
It’s pretty. I can’t seem to get the ropes to pull back the cover so it’s staying as a full cover for now. It’s an aluminum frame so it’s very easy to dent. It came with dents and crushed corners. I was able to use pliers to bend the corners back enough to fit the pieces together but it was a a pain and time consuming. Also I had to use a rubber mallet to get the top corner caps in. It’s very flimsy. The slightest wind shakes this pergola. On the directions it says if it’s windy to pull the cover back or to disassemble the pergola. Yes it actually tells you to disassemble it for windy days. That would take forever to keep putting it back together and taking it down. I live in Florida and we have wind on the regular here. Putting it together wasn’t easy but wasn’t too difficult. You just need to double check you’re placing the right parts together. They look the same but are labeled with letters to help. I don’t expect this to last more than a season or two at most. It’s good for a temporary situation but I’ll get a steel pergola next time. My last one was steel and very sturdy but rusted in five years. Also I contacted customer service to get one post replaced that arrived dented, and never heard back. So I just used the pliers and mallet to improve the dents. ... show more

Stable, sturdy and beautiful black color of frame. The directions were vague but surprisingly easy to follow. Rated 3 stars on assembly due to 1 of the 4 main posts had the screw holes on wrong side of post ( incorrect post packaged with item ) and minor dents in a few places that could have occurred during shipment. Very pretty, but the manual to install it is very deficient, it only has the basics, to put screws, that does not have to be explained, in the part of the sliding canvas, if it comes out of the slot, you have to look for tutorials on the outside because it does not have how to install it back, otherwise, so far so good. ... show more

Great pergola for the price! One pole did come dented but it can be hidden and bolt holes didn’t align perfectly so took some extra time to get them in. Otherwise it has been a great addition to the deck!
