Description

The perfect companion for the Fontana chicken Barn or use it by itself as a free standing, move around the yard pen. Comes with 4 sides and top. Can be attached to the Fontana Barn. Made with Eco FLEX, a composite of recycled polymers and reclaimed Wood fibers, the Fontana will last for many years and will be maintenance free. Eco flex is extremely durable and carries a 10 year against defect and deterioration. Easy to assemble with no need for any tools. Wire mesh is galvanized after welding for maximum rust protection.

Wanted a house with a small run for our in town chickens. We bought the echoflex run and ecoflex barn too. These make a perfect house and run for our two in town chickens. Just minutes to put together! I don't know that it would be solid enough for predators in the country though.

The run arrived in 2 days (we are still waiting on the coop). We thought we’d set up the run as a stand-alone run, but we were missing the P2 part. Called Amazon. They won’t send just a part — have to send back the whole thing. Went on New Age Pet’s website and submitted a customer service ticket — supposed to reply in 1 day; it’s been 3. Now our coop will arrive, but we will be waiting for the new run to arrive and crossing our fingers it has all the right parts. Instructions are poor — and they do NOT include how to attach it to the coop. It’s kind of flimsy and small. Definitely NOT worth $154. So disappointing. Save your money! ... show more

Overall this is a nice pen and seems reasonably solid for what it is. It assembles very easily and attaches directly to the ecoFlex Fontana Barn, or can be used separately. I wish it had a hinged top panel for easy access, but I knew it didn't ahead of time. I'll have to add some hinges. The other thing I will do is put some sort of roof panel on it. I think if a large animal got on top they may go through the mesh. I also prefer to keep my run dry and give the birds some shade.     • Easy to assemble!

This is so very easy to put together--I am all thumbs but got it put together in about 20 minutes. I wired hardware cloth on the bottom so that raccoons cannot dig into the coop. I did not do very well attaching it to the coop, because I am not sure I assembled the coop correctly since there were no screw holes in the supports of the coop that this chicken run would attach to.....but I did wire it together so I hope it is secure. ... show more

I was really looking forward to this after I purchased the coop from the same company. But the roof panels do not open, making it inconvenient to clean or access the area. Additionally, if you attach it to the front of the hutch you literally have to unscrew it to remove it for cleaning. Definitely structurally sound, but totally built inconveniently. ... show more

No trouble with the order delivered all the way to Hawaii. For the price, you couldn't build a better chick pen. It's light and very durable. The wire is a nice small mesh and doesn't rust like chicken wire. The frame is more durable and corners more stable than light wooden rails. When the birds are small I use it turned upside down, and my husband made a fitted plywood roof and a perch shortways across the inside. For a half dozen or so chicks it's plenty of space. They are able to peck at lawn grass through the wire bottom. Used with the roof as I described it has stood up to dog attack and relentless mongooses trying to get in. I doubled up on the lock provided just to be sure, but a regular drill works to add any hardware you want to the frame. I'd say it would hold 2 large adult chickens comfortably as an exercise pen, so it is on the small side if you're looking for a big run for your flock. ... show more

This is a decent run with a few important limitations. On the positive side, it goes together easily and all pieces are well labeled. It attaches easily to the separate coop I ordered. The downside is the material is flimsy. The plastic is thin; not sure how long lasting it will be. Worst is the wire mesh. It is very thin and barely stapled to the frame. Any medium size predator could push through. I elected to wrap the entire run in additional wire. As a result I really just bought a frame. Note that it does not have a floor which means it absolutely needed the additional wire for protection from digging predators. Size-wise, I would put 2-3 large chickens max if they weren’t able to free range. I am using this as full time enclosure for 2 bantam girls - a Silkie and a Polish. ... show more

    • Waste of money

Made of flimsy plastic, all of the connector pieces broke instantly! Door stopper was broken, wire is so flimsy it is extremely unsafe for any animal to be in unsupervised! All connections fell apart and or snapped when moving the cage just a few inches
