UPDATE AS OF 10/31/2013: Eco Styler decided to go and change this level from a 7 to 8 hold! Which means they have added yet another 10 hold to their product line. I simply don't understand why Eco Styler continues to make all their gels level 10s. I get people have complained that both the green and clear formula have a smell people's noses don't agree with. However, I can't help but feel disappointed by the change. I liked this formula because: A) My curls were defined AND B) My curls felt good to the touch and wasn't as at all crunchy like the 10s left my hair. The only times I like to use the level 10s is when I'm putting my hair in a bun or mixing it with oils for mini twists. Other than that this level 7 and the level 5 (which is now a 10-Sport) are now a thing of the past. *************************************************************************************** After being in love with the Eco Styler Olive Oil Styling Gel for the last two years and having moderate results with the Ecoco Eco styler Krystal Styling Gel 32 oz , I went on ahead and went against the grain to try this one. I will say the results of this was kind of shocked me -- I thought it would be much too light, but I was wrong, I'm recently using it as a wash-n-go and my curls look incredible with this gel! There is no crunch, my 3c/4a/4b curls clump well, movement, and the shine is killer! I applied this using my shea butter mixture in the process, after both products dried, I put my hands to it and there was no crunch just a great hold and nice to the touch. I have also used it on dry hair and still the results look amazing. Lastly, the camomile and tea tree oil are included in the list of ingredients -- very ideal for those who have dry, irritating, and itchy scalp -- perfect for me. The only con I have about this gel, unlike the Eco Krystal or Olive Oil, this doesn't do a very good job at slicking my hair back or my edges. What I will do is when I want to put my hair in a puff, bun, or updos Eco Styler Krystal or Olive Oil will be what I use. But for curl defining -- Pink wins! If you still unsure of my review you might want to try the 8oz or 16oz if they are available. ... show more

it's small for the price, i thought it was a little bigger but anyway it gets the job done, it slicks my kids hair back when i need it to, it also scrunches well with thier curly pony tails. apply a large amount and it'll firm to hold all day, apply a little and it'll give a soft hold. i recommend.

I won't mention names but I used a pink gel for over 30 years and it has been discontinued. I went on a search for something to replace it. Unfortunately this one just doesn't quite cut it.
