Does what all Echo devices do for the most part, no surprises. Screen is sufficient size and display quality for what it does. Loses some stars for me because 1. stand is separate and pricey 2. pairing with a sub + studio for audio was a pain 3. wifi 5GHz antenna is weak (other 5GHz devices in same location work fine, but for reliable connection with this Echo I needed to drop down to 2.4GHz) 4. built in speakers are weak for the size they could have fit 5. it takes alot of fiddling and disabling some desired features to get rid of most ads Attn Amazon: nobody buys this because they wish they had a stream of billboard ads in their living room, whether they are relevant or match my interests or not. Just give me a clock, weather, photos, and maybe an art screen saver, and leave the "deals" out, or at least make me opt in to them or ask to see them. I can buy an 80 inch smart TV for the same price. I bought a half a dozen echo show fives and I have a couple of eights. I’ve sent the echo show five to family. We use them to keep in touch. Ring security dots shows all over my house. I was thinking about upgrading my eights because I do use them to watch a little TV here and there. Mostly in the backyard via battery. I saw an ad for their larger size screens and I figured I’d check them out. Maybe next Christmas when they’re on sale. ... show more
