These seem sturdy and well-made. One of them died on me though. In its defense both cables got pulled on a bit. I was feeding some cables though a hole in some wood and they must have been scraped/pinched along the length of the cables. I couldn't see any evidence of damage in the solder points or outer sheathing but maybe the cable sleeve inside the black cover was severed by being scraped/pinched like that. Is that this cable's fault? I'll let you decide. I was surprised it went that easy but that was some abuse I guess. I bought a couple more to replace it. ... show more

I have 2 Shure wireless microphones and I've always used the un-balanced microphone cables to connect them to the mixer. This set up has been giving me a lot of static especially when the mics are closed to the speakers. So I decided to give the balanced cables a try. Big difference. No more static. These cables work fine and are fairly durable. Depending on what you need them for you should be fine. I wouldn't recommend for important live events yet as.i haven't had them long enough, but they are great for home studios etc. I am satisfied and i hope to do a better update once i get some use out of them. ... show more

These are a good deal. Check if your current inputs or outputs have a really large cutout in the insert. If so, these may not be perfectly compatible, and you may need to cram them in if permanent. Don't get in that case for portable. Good deal if compatible though.
