Just note it’s aluminum not steel! I retired it and bought a different one for about the same price. Same side and everything but it’s steel.

Product was exactly as advertised and makes a positive difference for laser cutting. The nice large size is helpful and the aluminum sheet for below the honeycomb keeps your waste board or desktop from getting burned.

I got an xtool and didn’t want to pay their crazy prices for their laser bed. I think this one is superior quality to the name branded one for way less $. Highly recommend!

    • It works just great, but it's not square.

For anybody wanting to do “cutting” with their laser, a support bed is essential. While there are many creative options for this, the honeycomb bed is probably the most common, and is easy to use. This particular bed easily covers the entire work area of my Atomstack A5 M40 40W laser engraver, and when used in conjunction with an air-assist kit, greatly improves the efficiency, speed, and "cleanliness" of cutting operations. The honeycomb base comes with a stainless steel sheet to place beneath it, virtually eliminating any opportunity for the laser beam to scorch the waste-board that the machine sets upon. My only caution with this honeycomb bed is that it is not even close to square… almost ¼ inch difference in the diagonals, so do not use it to set workpieces perfectly square in the engraving workspace. There are many ways to work around this problem, and the easiest is to find a cheap, small carpenter’s square (check to make sure it is truly square!!!) and use that for alignment on the bed. Other than the issue about squareness of the bed frame, I am very happy with this support bed and would recommend it to anyone with a similar-sized laser engraver. ... show more
