So I’m not one to write reviews at all, I just get my products and go on my happy way. But I wanted to come share my experience for others who may have animals! I have 3 cats and didn’t realize this rug was spot clean only when I bought it. So when the day came and one of my cats projectile vomited on my rug, I was crushed because I knew it was ruined. This was way more than a spot clean situation. So I decided to risk washing it, knowing full well I may ruin it. I washed it in delicate wash in cold water with high spin. Once it was finished, I laid it out on a solid surface for a few days to dry, I used empty coolers in the garage. After a few days and once it was fully dry, I put it in the dryer with air only, NO heat. It fluffed it right back up and it literally looks new! So to anyone on the fence about this rug due to it not being washable, it is washable if you’re careful! I’ve only washed it the one time but I assume multiple washes will eventually ruin it, I would only recommend washing it in a situation like I was in where spot cleaning isn’t an option. ... show more

We bought this for our dogs in front of our fireplace to protect our nice rug. It’s cute and the dogs love it. I washed it and it looks like sheep’s wool now. I actually like it better. When I first opened the box I thought it looked like cheap faux fur, but after washing it I think it’s better, but it does not look like the listing photo, that one has been brushed out. ... show more
