This one is 2 inches wider, then one I had for 10 years. The metal fan blades have been replaced by clear fan blades; don't know what they are made of. It has 2 speeds instead of just one. Love the copper color. I place this in my bathroom. I have it on the flat top of the toilet tank. The AC elsewhere in the condo, doesn't keep the bathroom cool at all. This fan is totally "silent".
