I just moved and purchased a new sectional so I didn't want my cat scratching it up! I searched FOREVER for something that would cover the base of my sectional. Finally, I had the idea to use a futon cover since they are wide and deep enough. I have them fitted over two pieces each. They're stretchy, have the perfect color, and would easily fit in the washing machine. I'm sure they could be torn easily. At first I couldn't figure out how to put it in but then I read the tags on it and it is marked center back and center front, then it went on very easily so make sure to look at those tags. It goes on easily, US comfortable when laying on it and easily comes off to throw in wash. Didn't have any issues with getting it back on after being washed. I have ordered a couple different covers for our futton and this one is the best one. I almost gave up and trashed this old thing, but this cover saved the day! It looks like a new futton now! Easy to take on and off, and holds up nice in the wash! Our animals have taken over, but they love it too!

I've had a cheap old futon for almost 15 years, which is now in my kids' playroom. It's basically abused on a daily basis and the "pleather" material started flaking off the surface from our dog jumping on it and the kids peeling it off. I bought this cover because I don't want to spend money for a new couch that my small children will probably destroy. I LOVE the cover.
