My better half likes to have air freshers in all of our rooms, you know, the ones that utilize the expensive aerosol cans inside the battery operated canister. Well, I’m getting tired of paying the high costs and having to choose among some questionable scents with names that describe nothing even close to the actual fragrance. I had a diffuser in the past but it was the type that ran until the liquid ran out or until you unplugged it, whichever came first. This one is radically different. It has timed settings for half an hour up to 3 hours and even comes with a lighting system if you desire to use it. The outside container is nicely made and finished and the interior is easy to access, fill and clean. I filled the water up to the indicated level, added a couple drops of oil, and set it for half an hour (after plugging it in, of course). That had my bedroom smelling quite nice without gagging everybody. When the scent fades, just turn it back on. In my case, I do enjoy a bit more scent so I increased from a couple drops to 4 or 5, but that’s a personal preference. Easy peasy. Construction and design are both nice with the cover being ceramic and the base being wood colored (plastic, I assume). Best of all, I can get several bottles of essential oils for what one can of the aerosol stuff cost. For the price, you can’t lose here! ... show more

    • Pretty, but plug in carefully

I never really intended on getting a diffuser, or using essential oils for that matter, but, here we are! Candles are getting pretty expensive, especially if they are all natural, but I still wanted something that smelled nice, was long lasting, less pricey, and attractive, and then this came along. When I saw it, I figured I would give it a try. You get a good amount of oils , it lights up and the lights change colors if you so desire, and, it’s quite lovely. I also like the fact that it has a timer on it. I am careful to set a timer each time I use it, and make sure it’s refilled (all doing so according to instructions) so that it doesn’t go dry and damage the unit. If you treat this delicately, it works great. The first time I used it, I filled it to the max line, and then went to plug it in, and it leaked all over the place - you cannot tilt this thing at all when it is full or the water WILL spill out. I went as far as to contact the seller and they were quick to respond and asked me to take a video of it dripping in order to help identify the problem, and if need be replace what could be a damaged unit. In doing so, I realized that my diffuser wasn’t damage (to the best of my knowledge), and that you should probably plug it in and then fill it up. Since using it that way, it has not leaked at all (and I never got back to them - if your the seller and are reading this, sorry about that…it is working great now!). I love the lavender so much that so far it’s the only oil I’ve tried - it does make the place smell wonderful. I do wish this was something you could charge instead of plug in, because that does limit where you can put it, and also makes it somewhat dangerous because you have a wire hanging and if you are someone that tends to bump into things, etc, (quite possibly like the person who is writing this review), you now have ample opportunity to trip over or get tangled in a low hanging cord (which may or may not have happened…). Overall, I really do like this, and if you are willing to go through the fuss it requires (don’t veer from the instruction, I would certainly recommend it. ... show more

    • Works Great But Needs Further Instructions

This oil diffuser really blew me away. Within minutes of setting it up, it already had the room smelling great. There are a ton of color options for the nightlight in it including coloring changing as well as just leaving the nightlight portion off. The kit included 6 essential oils: lavender, eucalyptus, orange, peppermint, lemongrass, and tea tree. It was super simple to get set up. The only issue I ran into was with the directions. They don't specify how much water to use in it. The kit comes with a measuring beaker but the measurements are nearly impossible to read. I went with 100mL which seemed to work great. The directions also didn't indicate how much or even approximately how much of the essential oils to use in the water. It only took a few drops as these are very potent and it was a little on the strong side. We ended up having to cut off the diffuser shortly after turning it on. This really is a great product but there needs to be better directions for use with it. ... show more
