I had used the Elf Mineral Infused (white) and Hydrating (blue) before. They both create sort of a slick smooth surface. THIS is VERY DIFFERENT! It's STICKY (hence Power Grip) It worked well..I go back and forth between this and Hydrating, based on my cash flow. But I like all of the primers I've tried by Elf. (I also tried Rimmel matte- terrible, and IT Cosmetics.. not sure which one, but Elf is better) ... show more

I was surprised that I liked this primer. I usually use a silicone-based primer, which makes for a smooth, but slippery surface. While that makes my foundation go on very smoothly, the Power Grip primer makes my foundation stay on much longer.

This is a great product for the price. I feel like it’s a dupe for some of the other- more expensive primers. A little bit goes a long way. Just one pump is all you need for a full face. It dries quickly so there’s not much delay before being able to get on with the rest of your makeup routine.

I just got into makeup, and the Elf Grip Primer has quickly become one of my favorites! I applied my makeup at 11 a.m., and it lasted all the way until I washed it off at 10 p.m. Even after running errands and hitting the gym for an hour and 20 minutes (yes, I sweat!), my makeup was still pretty much intact. This primer really helps my makeup stick better than any other primer I’ve tried before. I don’t use expensive makeup, but this primer still worked incredibly well. It does feel a little sticky at first, which makes it great for holding onto foundation and keeping everything in place throughout the day.
