Alright, guys, I'll admit it – I don't spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Grilling out on the patio? That's my domain. But when it comes to the stovetop, that's my wife's territory. So, when I decided to surprise her with a new set of cooking utensils, I wanted to make sure I got something decent. This E-far Silicone set seemed like a solid choice, and I'm happy to report, it was a hit. First off, the color (khaki, I think they call it) is a nice change from the usual black or stainless steel. It adds a bit of warmth to the kitchen, and my wife appreciates that kind of thing. The utensils themselves feel good in the hand – they've got a nice weight to them and a comfortable grip. Now, here's the thing that impressed me most: these things are tough. They don't melt or warp even when used in a hot pan, and they don't scratch the heck out of our non-stick cookware. My wife used to go through spatulas like crazy, but these seem like they'll actually last. The set comes with all the essentials – spatulas, spoons, a whisk, you name it. It covers pretty much everything she needs for her everyday cooking. And cleanup is a breeze. They're dishwasher safe, which is a big plus in my book. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the way they hang. The little holes in the handles are kind of small, so they don't always fit on our utensil rack. It's a minor inconvenience, but it's something to consider if you're planning on hanging them up. Overall, I'm really pleased with this E-far utensil set. It's a quality product that's made my wife happy, and that makes me happy. When I got this set, I threw away my plastic spatulas and spoons. -- Each tool is a single piece with no fittings or seams, so these are easier to clean than two-piece kitchen tools. -- These are great for using on non-stick pans - they don't scratch the surface. -- Fun selection of colors in the rainbow pack. Definitely not boring! -- Good selection of tools addresses most of my cooking-tool needs when cooking. -- Easy to clean and these don't stain. I've used them several times when making tomato sauce and they clean easily and there is no residual staining from the red of the sauce. Need a big holder for these utensils - the silicone tools don't slide easily, especially when ribbing against each other, so you'll need a big holder for all these. ... show more

I decided to replace most of my plastic utensils with silicone since I found out old plastic ones can leech chemicals into your food. It's an okay set but I had to knock down a few stars for different reasons: - I ordered the khaki set to match a cream colored utensil holder, but what I received is grey and not even close to khaki color. - Some of the utensils have very flimsy edges, which makes it difficult to grab and flip food. The ladle and the widest spatula does have firm edges, but everything else could've been made thicker. - Overall the utensils are shorter than previous ones I owned which make them look cheaper in a countertop utensil holder, so I ended up placing these in drawers. ... show more

All-purpose utensil set has all the basics. It's definitely a nice way to start off the kitchen for a housewarming gift or a recent grad, etc. Material is a little on the meh side, but as far as function, the utensils server their purpose well.
