  • Excellent purchase
Color: Silver Style: E8 750w 17.5ah
I am a 65 year old single woman. I ordered this E bike after looking/reading about others. The price was right along with the voltage and specs. The bike arrived in just a few days in excellent condition. I proceeded to assemble the bike following the simple step video as best as I could. There was no instruction book included. I am not used to assembling items. The assembly was easy enough although I did make an error on the handlebars which my daughter caught and corrected. I rode the bike without the battery as the battery needed to charge for 12 hours. I found the bike to be very comfortable and a very smooth ride. I was so pleased. After 12 hours of charging I attached the battery to the bike and took off riding for the first time on an E bike. I found the bike to be very user friendly, lots of power and comfortable to ride. I rode it for about 7 miles. I did get plenty of exercise as my legs were tired when I got home. I only used the assistance in the first level the majority of the time as I wanted the exercise. I used the second level at the end of the ride when I was tired. It went plenty fast for me… about 15mph. I haven’t used it on the higher levels yet but was pleased with the performance at the levels I tried. I hope to continue to be as pleased with the bike as I am right now. The thumb lever for battery assistance is kind of uncomfortable. A cruise option would be nice as my thumb got tired. Also an instruction book would be much easier for assembling the bike along with the 3 minute video. I will post again if issues arise but I’m hoping that there won’t be any. This bike and the price along with the quality are excellent at this point. I recommend this bike. ... show more

  • Fantastic Value!
Color: Silver Style: E8 750w 17.5ah
I am a real customer and not a paid pansy. This review is hard hitting and real. Grrrrr!! Scale: 1 to 5 (5 being best) Value: ---5--- Quality of Components: ---5--- Safety: ---5--- Ease of Assembly: ---4--- (bike shop it if you are not adept) Module Programming ---5--- Nimble and Comfortable Ride: ---5--- Features: ---5--- Power: ---5--- Reliability: ---?--- (I may update this after a year) Customer Support: ---5--- (I did not need to return, but they were responsive when I reached out to them) Why? Pedals - metal and wide. Light - Brite and easy to turn on while riding PAS/Throttle: Able to turn off PAS and just use manual pedal + throttle as needed at the same time. Tires - Good and safe on turns in dirt, sand or asphalt Brakes - Tight and responsive Gears - All working, fantastic to have > 7 gears. This has 21. Get a better workout. Fenders - Has em'. No mud or junk on your clothes. Phone holder - Plastic but solid, has a USB charger for your phone! Kickstand - Good, sturdy one that is adjustable and will not wear out over time. 29" Wheel: Less pedaling, more speed when you are manually pedaling. Ideal. Perfect for people 5' 7" or taller. The bike rides very nimble and balanced for an e-bike. My other 3 all feel heavy on turns, not this one. The motor is stronger than most and it feels like it. Battery charge is better than average. Seems like they spared no expense and I see no cheap shortcuts on this bike. Damn, near perfect at this price level. Note: Replaced the handlebars with a mid rise (5") that angle in a bit. Way more comfortable. ... show more

  • Decent bike for the price.. . . .Needs small upgrades.
Color: Silver Style: E8 750w 17.5ah
I like this bike but there are some things that need improvement I felt the frame was slightly too small for the rims. I had to change the bars to get me from hunching over. You can fid these bars pretty easily online. I added the cross member and lower support. The cadence sensor can be problematic when it kicks in if you are not ready for it. I changed the settings and made it thumb throttle only. But even with the thumb throttle, it's hard to get variable speed. It wants to be on, or off, but there is a small area on the thumb throttle where you can feather it .. The motor is geared so there is slight hum but I notice it getting quieter over time. 3 speed gear shifter, shimano, has a loose viewport and it vibrates at a certain speed. Front spring shocks work but are nothing special Tires are basic cheapos. I changed the brakes to the line pulling hydraulic disc calipers for 160mm rotors and the brakes greatly increased . Changing the brakes was the best thing I did to this bike. Quieter and stronger. . .Bike comes with160mm rotors front and back. . .cheap and quick to do. Brake levers have wires that tell the motor to stop when you get on the brakes. 22 amp controller so you would have to change the controller to get a higher wattage motor on it. Motor stamped 750 watts. . .Geared GD01 controller and you can find the settings online Pedals are metal but I changed them. . Standard threads I keep it in top gear and never change gears. .. . I wanted more gears but I ended up never using them. I want a higher top gear so I am thinking about changing the rear gearing. I use the thumb throttle with slow ramp and pedal at the same time to start. Handlebars are 38.1mm clamp size and 22mm grip size. I bagged it up and added a softer seat setup. Motor is a standard 9 pin connector I have rode it for 100 miles and the chain has not fallen off once. Derailleurs needed slight adjustment but it was simple to do.. . .Standard bike maintenance Will do 31 MPH on flat ground without wind against you. You might get 34mph if you change the tires and don't weigh a lot. There are a lot of tires available for it. 29x2.15 700x55 I wanted a bike with a visible battery. Eventually I will have to change the battery and I want to be able to find one. This style battery is everywhere online. I did not want a custom battery size meant to fit in a custom frame. You can find a lot of the parts of this bike online. Controller display is backit. I consider it a basic 29 inch tire Ebike. If I had to do this again, I might go with a torque sensor and rear suspension. I did not want a 4" wide fat tire bike. I wanted an ebike that still looked like a bike. . . . I bet you could put 29x2.3's on it, or go down to 700cx32 tire size. . . I wanted a bike that I could bag up and go on adventures. I feel confident in the bike now after 100 miles of paved and gravel trails. . . . .It's not the best bike, but I like it. ... show more
