  • Awesome Bike!!!
The bike was 95% built, it did not take long to assemble the handle bars, light, front wheel, and wheel covers. Make sure every thing is secure lost the rear wheel cover just the plastic part) because I forgot to tighten it onto its holder. The bike has been great. I use it to commute to and from work. Which is 20 miles between jobs and 20 miles back home. I have 2 road bikes that I used to do the commute. After 2 years that became very tiring. I was looking at other e-bikes and after a few days and was about to buy another bike this one came up and I was am happy it did. Great price, it performs excellent as described above except the 28mph on flat surface of the road I got 31.6 mph (correction on this top speed I hit was 32.2 mph on the speedometer on a fully charged battery until one unit of the 6 power units on the battery was drain then the speed decreased to about 31.5 mph ). There's not many hills in South Florida but the ones there are this went over without a problem. Only problem I had was today I caught a flat tire. It took some time to initially get the rear wheel off due to the frame holding that tire on really strong. You'll need a 18mm wrench to removes the nuts for the rear wheel. Fixed the flat and was on my way again. Wanted to add one more thing, buy a set of torque arms for the rear hub. ... show more

  • A very good value
Color: Silver Style: E8 - 21 Speed
I've put a little over 50 miles on this bike now, and am very pleased with it. When I got it, the front derailleur shifter was damaged, and the seller did not hesitate to send me a replacement shifter and shift cable. I've always struggled to get the gear alignment on the Shimano 3-ring shifters right, but this one went smoothly, with just one readjustment after my first ride to get consistent shifting from the middle to small ring. I ride the bike mostly for exercise, typically in PAS 1 or PAS 2, and find that the middle and large ring are sufficient. But the low "granny gears" are good to have in case the battery dies. I rode the bike a little bit up some steep hills without PAS, and it is manageable, but much harder than my regular cyclocross bike, even though that bike is geared much higher. The speeds in PAS 1, 2, and 3 appear to be 11, 16, and 19 mph, respectively, which is almost perfect for my use case, of using the bike for moderate intensity cardio, though I am surrounded by very long steep hills in pretty much every direction where it's safe to ride. I use PAS 1 for long steep hill climbs so I can do most of the work, PAS 2 for normal riding (often on unpaved roads), and occasionally PAS 3 on flat paved roads. Shifting is smooth, and the motor generally kicks in fairly smoothly when my pedaling power is insufficient to maintain speed. You can ride this bike with a constant pedaling power output, say 150W, and just let the motor kick in as needed to maintain speed, and get a really good workout, whatever your fitness level. I've never had a bike with a kickstand before (since childhood), and didn't think to check the screws on the kickstand before riding, and one of them must have loosened during shipping, and came off during my first ride. So I replaced both with M5 25 mm Allen bolts with lock washers and bolts. This has held up fine. I can't really complain about this problem, since it was my fault for not doing the proper maintenance checks before riding. My only legitimate complaint about the bike is the speedometer, which doesn't read accurately when you are pedaling with PAS turned on. I plan to remedy this by installing the same kind of bike computer that is on my 'cross bike (only $30). Also, I would like to change the PAS settings so that PAS 1 is 7 mph so that I can do really steep hill climbs on trails or roads along the river where I live, unassisted by motor power, using the granny ring , but with the motor being there as a backup in case I run out of energy. But neither of these issues is enough to warrant deducting a star, given the cost of this bike, and the overall build quality. Finally, the tires and tubes on the bike seem to be okay, but I do plan to put Schwalbe Marathons on it with Sunlite Thorn Resistant tubes once the factory tires start to wear. I've had this combination on my road bikes over many years and have never had a flat even after driving through glass and metal debris from accidents, whereas with other supposedly flat-proof tires, I'd get a flat every week or two (there's lots of truck traffic where I live, and hence, lots of tire-damaging debris on the side of the road). Also, it's worth noting that I rearranged the stuff on the handlebars a little when I replaced the shifter to improve the ergonomics, and I feel this improves ease of using the thumb throttle on the right side and shifting on the left (see picture 2). ... show more

  • 400 mile review
I am at 400 miles and got it in September. It's holding up good, it will go 32 mph but you are going to pedal like crazy to hit that number. I just finished a 45 mile trip with still 1 bar of power as long as I did not go over level 2 on power scale.

  • My first e-bike and I'm glad I chose this one!
Okay so I done a ton of research. I've watched a ton of YouTube videos and I've looked at prices and such. And I've come up to this bike and I'm telling you what I am glad this is my first ebike. Easy to use it was a little hard to put the front wheel on by myself but once I got it in there boom you just lay the bike right down on it and then put the rod through with the springs and lock it in and the front wheels on The handlebar is a little confusing but everything needs to be tightened up so once you get everything aligned tighten it down and then go through every bolt on the bike. Make sure everything feels tight is tight you may find it a little screw on the back that is not tight I'm not sure what it is but I tightened it all the way in it maybe it's for some kind of bracket or something who knows. The brakes can use a little adjusting but make sure you use both brakes while you use this bike don't just use the back brakes or the front brakes use them both in conjunction. This bike has some pickup when you get to the 5th setting but really comfortable on the first or second for just a comfortable Cruise and pedal so definitely make sure you get used to pedaling because it'll be good for you but it's also when you come to the hills you don't have to push so hard to get up then that is awesome. Highly recommend this bike..... This is an update for those who are getting flats I was too I took wide white tape it's kind of like a roll of black tape but it's white and I lined the inside of the rim and then put the rim hole covers back on because the tubes are cutting in the spoke holes from low tube pressures and high two pressure so if you hit something that pushes in there and cuts it. Just line it put the liner back around the tape and you're good to go. ... show more
