The seller reached out after this failed to jump my car after I had fully charged it. To be fair, my 6.0 liter is at the max advertised size that this unit should be able to jump start. They sent me their heavier duty model, and it was able to jump off my Yukon Denali XL. Great customer service! -- First, I will say that I attempted to jump the battery of my Yukon Denali XL, and although this product was fully charged, it could not even attempt to trigger the starter to even click. I then used normal jumper cables, and it started right up. So maybe this would work for small cars? Not sure. The compressor is loud, but it works. I have to main issues with the compressor. All of the many tire inflators/compressors I have purchased in the past allow you to set a desired pressure, while this one does not. It is either off or on, which means you have to keep checking it in order to not over-inflate your tires. Also, the pressure gage is not lit! Makes it very difficult to see, as the only light is on the opposite side of this unit. My final issue with this is that the compressor hose is too short! It is fine if the valve stem is at the bottom or the sides of the wheel, but when I used it last, my valve stem was at the top of the wheel and it would not reach (so I had to back up the car and then inflate the tire). ... show more

This A-ANT model HH857 portable jumpstarter is a nice multi-function jumpstarter that could really come in handy - especially during the Wintertime. It is small and lightweight (just 11lbs) and on the small-capacity side as to amp-hours (only 10 amp-hours.) For example as to the capacity of this jumpstarter, the listing indicates that it is good for “SUVs under 4-cylinder” But as long as a person keeps it charged up, it could still come in handy. And it provides extra functionality above what a simple jumpstarter does. It acts as a portable compressor, a flashlight, and a powerbank for charging-up dying cellphone batteries. And several adapters come with it to allow it to inflate such as basketballs and inflatable pool toys. It also came with a bright orange window-breaking & seatbelt-cutting “hammer” for anyone that might become trapped in a car and need emergency escape. Additionally it is nice that it can be charged from a 110VAC wall outlet or alternately from the 12VDC accessory port/“cigarette lighter” on the car itself. There is a separate compartment provided in the jumpstarter for storing the 12VDC car-to-jumpstarter charging cable. That is super convenient. But one issue with charging the jumpstarter from the car is that the instructions suggest keeping the car running for eight hours straight while charging the jumpstarter. Keeping any internal combustion motor running that long consumes a lot of gasoline and produces a lot of dangerous carbon monoxide. Fortunately, it is far more convenient to simply use the 110VAC to 12VDC power adapter that is also supplied with this jumpstarter. An issue (beyond the limited amp-hours) is that it is advertised as not functioning below +4°F. And in the upper Midwest, we get several days each Winter down to -10°F and even rare days down to -20°and even below that occasionally. And those extremely cold days are exactly the days that traditional lead-acid car batteries struggle the most. Of course it would be unreasonable to ask a lead-acid portable jump starter to perform when a traditional automobile lead-acid battery was not able to, but this limitation makes this jump starter less useful if it doesn't perform when it is needed most. (For better performance at such low temperatures, a much more expensive lithium-Ion-battery-powered jumpstarter would be needed.) A second issue is that the air compressor apparently does not have an auto-shut-off setting. This means that if the user happens to get distracted, the compressor could pump right up to the 260psi max pressure which could possibly split a standard auto tire in two. (Many modern portable compressors have a max pressure setting built-in to the unit.) all in all - despite some limitations - i think this small portable jump starter could be a very useful device to have in the car for emergencies ... show more
