First..Brody my 2year old dachshund has severe anxiety and has hated his ordinary black wired crate since day one. We house trained him until recently because he started getting into the trash chewing up the plastic eating things out of the pantry that we decided to crate him for his own protection. I contemplated buying this crate sue to his anxiety moves his bowels because he paces in his crate. Never would he just walk into his crate and just lay in it. Today after putting a new bed (because he chewed up the one that came with the crate) and he actually crawled in it and taking a nap. I was a little hesitant ordering this, as some of the reviews weren’t positive. But I have a new puppy in need of a crate, and I loathe the basic cage crates. This item arrived two days earlier than expected, which was a huge plus. It was so simple to put together. It took me 15 minutes tops to put it together on my own. Pretty easy to put together except some of the holes did not line up exactly. Overall happy with the product, 6 pound Pom Pom fits perfectly. The crate mat that’s included is a nice touch but definitely will be adding another blanket.

This crate looks way nicer than the metal one we had. However, the material is very cheap particle board. We have an 85lb malinois that is crate trained, and if it were not for the fact that he is trained he could destroy it in seconds if he wants. If you have a very small dog I wouldn’t think it would be an issue. If your dog has any type of anxiety or is not trained to chill out in the crate, keep looking you’ll be throwing your money down the drain. We actually use ours with an elevated pet bed, by taking out the floor piece so the bed legs go on the floor and this works perfect. The floor piece would be destroyed by his weight and nails anyway most likely, and does not provide any support. ... show more

I bought my 9 year old, 5 lbs Yorkie a small kennel and my 5 month old, 15 lbs a large kennel. They are both loving their new place. I would have given them a 5 star but the large kennel had a large scratch on top. The bottom board is flimsy and would probably bend over time.

I got this so that we can have an extra kennel around the house but I didn’t want to have another huge eye sore, so I got this and I am very happy with how it looks! The only down side is the latches kind of suck but thankfully my dog doesn’t try to get out.. it honestly wouldn’t take much. The latches are the only reason it gets 4 stars, because everything else is perfect ... show more
