  • INCREASED SUCTION POWER - The original and still the best! Now 20% more throughput (CFM) and efficiency with Neutral Vane Technology, Oneida Air Systems' patented Dust Deputy cyclone uses centrifugal force to capture and remove 99% of dust and debris from the air-stream before it reaches your vacuum filter, eliminating clogged filters and suction loss!

The Dust Deputy Plus will save you money on expensive replacement filters and dust bags, and time, allowing you to focus on the task at hand.

Works with most materials: wood dust, drywall dust, concrete dust, clay/silica dust, blasting soda, cooled ash & soot, water, metal shavings, baking flour, grass & leaves, pet/animal hair, pharmaceutical waste, and much more!
  • MADE IN AMERICA Designed, patented, & manufactured in the USA, our Dust Deputy Plus kit lets you build the dust control system thats right for you. Kit contains the anti-static cyclone separator, collapse-proof bucket lid (designed to fit most 5-gallon buckets), hose, (2) elbows, gasket, hose clamp, (2) o-rings, & mounting hardware. • Works great
Style: DD Plus
Bit of static but not too bad. The lid is a bit loose on a standard 5 gallon bucket but it fits great on the 4.5 gallon bucket drywall mud comes in.

  • Quick service from Oneida
Style: DD Plus
Receiving a broken lid and a missing gasket, I contacted Oneida and they, Christopher, from service, contacted me within five minutes to get my address for replacement parts. I ordered this new one as a replacement for one I've had for years that was getting worn out. These are really great systems to eliminate removing and replacing filters on shop vacs. Great service, good company. ... show more

  • Great at DC, DD Plus thoughts + modifications to make it better
Style: DD Plus
UPDATE: see modifications for better performance This is my first dust separator as I'm trying to get into woodworking. That being said... I bought the "DD Plus" kit thinking that it comes with more of the pieces I'd need to make a stacked cart with my shop-vac. I thought wrong. Ultimately I love the separator itself. It does what its supposed to and surprisingly well, but does the "DD Plus" really provide extra benefit for $20? Probably not and def not to make a vertically stacked cart. --- HOSE --- The hose that comes with it (protape pur 330 as) seems like high quality and is not offered on amazon, but MSRP is well above Amazon offerings. Compared to the reviews of other 2.5" dust collection hose this doesn't shrink that much when completely blocking the hose. It also secures snugly in the shop-vac(branded) lockon connectors. However it is short (37"). That's not even long enough to stack a short 3 gallon bucket on top of a shop-vac. The length would only be good for side by side cart or to run the bucket free standing. If you use it as freestanding there is no way that it won't tip over. So now i'm hunting for more hose that is descent quality but doesn't cost as much as the included Protape Pur 330 AS ($130/25ft). -- ELBOWS -- All the elbows do "fit" the separator and my 2.5" hoses, but they also fit pretty loose and are prone to falling off due to the steep taper. I've decided to use the elbow for the top outlet as it connects well to the dust collection hose with the hose clamp. Two comments about using it for the inlet. First, the elbow will constantly fall off the inlet. Second, The connection between a 2.5" shop-vac hose and the elbow will be loose and fall off. -- LID & MOUNTING HARDWARE-- I honestly have no idea if the special shaped lid aids in the cyclonic airflow, but i can tell you it doesn't collapse, is precut/drilled for easy installation, and fits the buckets i've tried. One odd thing about it is that the underside of the lid holes for mounting hardware is molded with a hex shaped lip for the nut to sit in. This lip stops you from using washers on the underside of the lid to better disperse forces. The flanged nut must also be threaded onto the bolt upside down to sit in the recess though. As the top of the nut has rounded edges, the surface contact area of the nut to the lid as well as the nut to the lip are decreased and makes me hope that the forces applied on that smaller profile don't cause a tear out. Also, since you're mounting the nut upside down, you lose the knurling on the flange bottom to prevent backout and have to use locking washers. The whole thing is just an odd design. It honestly would've been better if they skipped the fancy stuff and just made the lid thicker plastic. It might almost be worth it to get your own standard or nylock non-flanged nuts to use. -- CYCLONIC SEPARTOR -- Works great, no complaints there. I do however worry about it cracking in a tip-over. The thickness of plastic as well as the type of plastic used could lead to it shattering. ===== MODIFICATIONS ===== - 1/2" x 1/8" neoprene weather stripping around lid helps with dust particles escaping when moving the unit around while not under vacuum. - 2" rubber PVC coupler for inlet to stop hoses from falling off - Key hose clamps for inlet coupler - Direct connection without elbow to exhaust to allow for better airflow as sharp bends hinder airflow - Bridged key hose clamps for exhaust for spiral based tubing - Widened DD intake and exhaust ports with a rubber compression stopper and a heatgun. Noticeable airflow difference. 550F and incremental compression on the stopper. Also creates a flange on the intake port allowing the 2.25" vaccum hose end to butt up inside the flange inside the rubber coupler to remove turbulance in the 2" PVC rubber coupler siide chambers. - Ground down the DD Plus lids nut wells and added a second 1/4" washer under the lid with nylon locknuts. Spreads out lever forces of the cyclone chamber on the lid. - Upgraded to 0.3um/"HEPA" cartridge filter for the shop vac with a rigid "HEPA" cyclonic bag. No noticeable "fine dust" layer accumulation from tiny particles exhausting out the back of the vacuum. Under no delusion that tiny particles are escaping still, but it's no longer immediately perceptible as a dust layer. - Shop vac muffler/diffuser to decrease resistance of vacuum exhaust increasing suction. Would not do this without the "HEPA" upgrades above. ... show more

  • Keep your garage clean for a fraction of the cost of other dust collectors!
Style: DD Plus
This simple item does a really nice job keeping your garage clean during a variety of woodworking projects. I didn't have a lot of money to invest in a fancy dust collection system. I already had a Shop Vac that could be used to operate it. It has done a great job keeping my shop clean. Pros-Low cost item that works well. It was super easy to install and use with an existing Shop Vac. As long as you have the right connection and a strong vacuume it will get the job done. Cons-Not quite as powerful as a more expensive system. My Shop Vac tube sometimes detaches from the unit, which can cause a mess. Overall, this is a great item for low cost. I highly recommend it! ... show more

  • Overpriced, but an excellent product
Style: DD Plus
This is my second Dust Deputy. I have one for each of my shop vacs and I would not be without one. It's such a simple, but amazing add-on for dust collection. You get much more life out of your shop vac filter while improving the air you breathe.

  • It WORKS!!!
Style: DD Plus
I now have two of these devices. Wood dust has been reduced by 70% or more by using my table saw and miter saw. These are used in a very closed environment and work more than I expected.

  • Do you have a dewalt planer? Do you have a festool dust extractor, this review may be for you!
Style: DD Plus
Questions I had: Will this tool fit my dewalt planer 735x Will this tool fit my festool dust extractor (large hose) Is a dust extractor required with the planer? If the air is pushing instead of pulling, will that create problem? If I don't have a dust extractor, will chips blow out the top? So, no the hose and parts do not fit the planer. I suspected this going in. BUT!!! I used a jigsaw to cut a 1/2" length into the straight elbow that almost fits inside the 2.5" dust port on the planer. This allowed me to flex it slightly and fit it in. I actually cut about 3/4" but it left a tiny hole, so if it works with shorter, I'd try shorter first. This allowed everything to fit together and it stayed connected while running. The large festool hose fits inside the top/exit hole, so yes the hoses can connect if you're using the large one and so, yes you can save yourself $400 some odd dollars if you want this system. Obviously it won't be as modular and can be a little pain. No, the 735 planer should not be used with this and a vacuum as the blower on it works perfectly fine and the vacuum and blower sound like they struggle and kinda counter each other. Air pushing with the planer IS a problem. This lid is meant to be sucked into place to lock. The planer blows and so there is no air seal. I countered this with some irwin quick clamps. Using three seemed to prevent leakage. I definitely got some lose chips with only two. Will chips blow out the top if you let your planer blow and have no suck? I didn't notice any/many but there is dust. I simply connected my hose but I didn't turn it on until after the planer was done. So, overall impression? It's not a bad idea but I had really hoped the lid would snap on. That said, once sealed it does what is advertised and collects large chips while small dust gets vacuuumed up (or blown out if using the planer) the top. The hose is pretty short. I was most disappointed that they only had one hose connection to screw the hose in place. It really should have had two, so my connection to the planer is locked in place but connection to the cyclone is a snugged fit. It did hold though. Would I recommend? I'll say that this will be most useful if it is attached to the tool cart you're using or is stationairy. lugging the tools, dust extractor, and the cyclone around is a lot of lose parts, so just keep in mind that could be annoying. If you're looking at the festool and you're extremely mobile, the $500 might be worth it just to keep frustration low on the jobsite and not waste time/space with so many loose parts. If you have a small shop, this might be a little bit on the pricy end for what you get, but it definitely works and is a cheaper solution than other options. Overall I'm happy but I would have liked to see this 10-20 cheaper than the $80 I paid. The price clearly includes the R&D in the pricing and not commodity pricing. ... show more
