  • A+++++ Highly RECOMMENDED!!! Runs the whole house.
Style: 12,000-Watt Dual Fuel
First of all, the delivery crew was solid gold! I was worried about getting one that was damaged in transit, all fears were unfounded. It was delivered by a Pro crew with a drop lift tail gate box truck. Using a pallet dolly they took it to my garage and placed it on a flat wheeled dolly for me. Very happy! This generator was recommended by the electrician that did the hook up for running the whole house as the "Best Bang for the Buck". He has done many of these hookups and came highly recommended. The unit fired up the first time no problem, we are using propane, and when we added the house load to it one circuit at a time, this Beast did not even twitch! Whole house AC water heater everything and I was still at 50%. I can run the whole house during an outage. I am in Tampa Bay Florida, and survived "Irma-Geddon" in 2017 and I can tell you that being without power for days on end gets old real fast. We started it right up on propane, no problem, it ran smooth and was not really too loud during our test runs. There is a start up procedure that entails pulling the house off of the main, I suggest printing it out in large font and laminating it, and hanging it near the breaker panel so it is on hand as a check list. This is the newer updated version ELITE instead of beast. It has self purging propane valve, and the exhaust can be attached to a flexi pipe it even has a screw down for this purpose to hold the pipe in place. We rolled it out for the monthly start it up, Hooked the propane up, let it purge, bang fired right up. Ran it for 20 min, no problem. Take the time to do a full test run before you are in the dark, "know before you go". Get Wavian fuel cans Wavian USA JC0020RVS Red Authentic NATO Jerry Fuel Can and Spout System (20 Liter) for gasoline, they do not spill, and have at least four Propane cans on hand to get you going, Propane lasts longer in storage. Make sure you have a plan in place way before the storm, find a way to shelter the generator from the storm, get a Gen-Tent, GenTent 10k Running Cover - Universal Kit (Extreme, TanLight) - 3000w-10000w Portable Generators keep it out of the rain. This is a great unit for the occasional power outage. Hurricane season is upon us, do not be caught out in the dark. -----UPDATE----- We have used this unit several times for power outages in Florida, It works well, but here is an important tip. Sensitive electronics will take a beating from this unit. It is powerful to be sure, but, TV, Computer, Stereo need a smoother power curve to work correctly. To use this with electronic gear use: a Double-Conversion UPS, Tripp Lite SU1000XLA, SU750XL. This kind of unit isolates you from the inconsistent power of a generator. DO some research and make your own decision. -----UPDATE---- I have been starting this unit monthly using the Propane only, not quite 5 hours on it yet. I charged the battery and am ready for Hurricane season here in Florida. I have always used the key starter, but this time I used the pull starter and was surprised how easy it was. 1.Hook up the propane 2.Open the valve 3.Choke on 4. Give it a couple of pulls before turning on the key 5. Hit the key bang two tugs it starts. Much easier than expected, took me by surprise. Take the time to do the full hook up to the house so you are not trying to figure it out during a weather event. Make sure your partner knows what to do as well. This is a good unit to have for sure for those power outages that are so very annoying here in Florida. Also get better wheels as the ones that come with it are foam filled and have a flat spot that makes it tough to roll. 10 in. Haul-Master Pneumatic Tire on White Wheel - 4.10/3.50-4 KNOBBY TREAD, these will do the trick HIGHLY RECOMMENDED A+++++ ... show more

  • easy start, long run time
Style: 4,850-Watt Dual Fuel
I bought this generator in 2020 for emergency use. Hurricane Helene just came by and killed the power and I brought the unit out. filling the oil was easy and fueled with gasoline; after 1/2 pull on the recoil rope it fired up. Recoil pul wasn’t difficult. I hooked up the wires to charge the battery and when I stopped to fuel, to restart the unit I used the electric start. It couldn’t have been easier! I had the generator running 24/7 for 4 full days, no issues. I had to shuffle the power between 4 freezers, a fridge, room a/c overnight, etc. That’s nearly 96 hours, so I feel it’s mostly broken in. The unit looks very nice, and it vibrates hardly at all. It’s a little loud for the power level, but all in all it’s ok. I found the runtime to be greater than 9 hours—i had it run for 10 hours overnight and when I went to fill it in the morning, it was still half full so I don’t have to tend it so often. I’m 6’4” and would like the handles to pivot higher so I don’t gave to bend to move it. All in all, I love the generator. It did a truly awesome job and I’d buy it again. ... show more

  • Hope I have cleared up these “People miss understandings of what not to do.
Style: 12,000-Watt Dual Fuel
Based on our current use we would recommended this generator to everyone. It is very solid generator and meets our needs. We purchased this generator because we live in Florida and do to Hurricanes. For a low cost high powered generator that runs on propane or gas, I think you would be hard pressed to find another that has all the options, key start, and comes with the battery and all the accessories included. A standalone Generac 15KW would have been 9 thousand dollars with the auto transfer switch. You will save thousands and get the same results with this generator. This is more than enough to run my hole home, and I have 3 freezers, 1 fridge, and many other devices. Granted, my lights in my house are ALL LED now, which helps! But I was able to run three window unit also with four box fans with celling paddle fans, water heater, house water pump all at the same time. Most of the time I don’t rate or comment. BUT seeing some of these peoples who don’t have a clue what they doing writing comments here. If you never worked with four-stroke engines. Hire someone else don't blame the generators, do to ignorance of how to ADJUST IT. Then yes, I saw you needed to hook up the negative ground wire, (all batteries on engines never comes hook up) to the battery so I did that. (Now this quote from some other people writings) #1 “the unit will start rite up but surges badly on LP. Turning off the auto throttle switch corrects this issue. There is nothing in the manual regarding this switch. Once this was done the engine runs smooth.”#2 Engine revs up then dies down. Pretty annoying. (YOUR FIX) If you adjust the idle on the carburetor up, you can fix this and the auto throttle will work for LP running. Knowing what to do is key here. And No, you will not find this in the instructions. Again, Hire someone else if you do not know what I am talking about, don't blame the generator. It is shipped without oil, so it needs 1qt and a half of 5-w30. This is in your instructions, so, why be surprise you don’t have any oil. I do not recommend the 20gal that’s a full-sized grill propane cylinder. You can only use a little under half a tank before you will have problems with not enough Pressure to run generator. Get a sixty or eighty gallon, will work better and longer. I myself have it on a 250gal tank. Hope I have cleared up these “People miss understandings of what not to do. Dr.DRE1965 ... show more
