  • Not the easiest filament to get dialed in, but once you find the settings...
Color: White Size: 1 Pack
It took me about 30 minutes to get everything dialed in on my SOVOL SV01 (direct drive). This filament seems happier when it is cooled faster. I was able to get it to print as intended with a 50C bed temp + aquanet hairspray, turning the bed off after the first few layers and a nozzle temp of 215C. When I tried printing at 220C-225C, it was causing the nozzle's ironing effect to drag uncooled filament on the print, making what looked like waves. On the other side, 205C-210C looked like it was underextruding a little. Because of how this filament seems to like to dry, you will get curling if it is drying too slowly. You can correct this by increasing your line WIDTH by 50% (i.e. a 0.35 line width on a 0.4mm nozzle would be a new line width of 0.525mm with this filament). I also suspect that I may be able to get this to print at a 40C bed temp or even with the bed turned off as long as I'm using the aquanet hairspray on my textured glass bed. The print was welded to the bed at the settings below. TL;DR ==== Bed = 50C, turn off after first few layers (slicer can do this automatically) Nozzle = 215C (watch and adjust on the fly at the beginning of the print) Fan = 100% Line Width = 50% wider (1.5x your normal line width) ... show more

  • Rough outside caused extrusion stalls on my Ender 3. (Edit: Dropped a star for trying to bribe me)
Color: White Size: 1 Pack
I like the way this prints for the money. Doing 60 bed and 220 extrusion. However, the rough outer texture seems to bind it up in the reel a little and occasionally causes my extruder stepper to "strip" back on my Ender 3. I have the extruder assistant piece mounted and this is the only filament I've had do this. But I'm liking the prints when this doesn't happen. Edit: I was going to upgrade my review to 4 stars. I replaced my extruder to a dual gear and really like how this prints now. However, the company contacted me and offered a refund if I delete my review (3-star review). Sorry, that is low class and I can't be purchased. But trying to can drop another star. Edit: I was contacted again trying to be bribed into deleting this review with a sob story. Offered $35 for my silence. Ok, now we are dropping to one star. ... show more

  • Extremely unreliable printing material
Color: White Size: 1 Pack
I honestly have no idea what everyone else is talking about. I have now made 20 attempts with various setting combinations to get this stuff to reliably adhere to the bed and it has failed, in one way or another, every single time. I do a lot of 3d printing, but I'm not a deep hobbyist. I'm not printing because it's fun (though it is sometimes), I'm printing because I need something to come off the bed. I get absolutely no pleasure out of tooling around to find the right temperatures and settings. I want to hit print, and come back in 4 hours and take the finished model off the bed. As such, I look for the lowest maintenance and highest reliability filament I can. I use an Ender 3 with a tempered glass bed that has an adhesion surface on it. I don't use glue sticks or additives or anything like that, because I'm not supposed to have to, and maybe that makes the difference here. But as far as I'm concerned, if the filament can't stick to the surface designed specifically for filament to stick to (and which every other filament has stuck to pretty much flawlessly), then it's just not good filament. So far this is the first filament I've used in which no combination of settings or temperatures seems to help anything at all. Even turning off the heated bed after the first layer, as some have suggested, doesn't appear to do anything of value. It's curling up at the edges by the 3rd layer always, and if it even gets that far, it's completely come loose or dislodged by the 6th layer. I hate this stuff. Of the dozens of varieties I've tried, this is hands down the worst filament I've used. If you print for utility, and not for the fun of tinkering around, then don't buy this garbage. It's not worth the money or the time. All that been said, I added a star because the spool has a gauge for how much is left on the roll and that is a clever idea. Not that it will matter, there's no way I'm even going to be able to print an entire spool of this stuff. It's literally worthless. ... show more

  • Surprisingly Great PLA
Color: Black Size: 1 Pack
Don't be fooled by that fact that this is essentially a brand new company with no track record, and has arguably the cheapest quality Filament on Amazon. I cautiously bought this filament and having just completed a 36 hour print on my Ender 3, I was pleasantly surprised by the end result. Despite the fact that this $14 filament this PLA is made just as well if not better then PLA by Amazon, Tianse, or Hatchbox. There was no stringing, clogging or tangling on the spool, and no discoloration, or noticeable diameter defects--which we all know will lead to a significant drop in print quality. The spool is also well constructed with a gauge sticker on both sides to give a rough estimate of what is left, and the built in loops are incredibly helpful for storage. Provided this quality continues, I suspect I have found a great new source for PLA, and will be buying a new spool soon! ... show more

  • New Go-To filament
Color: Black Size: 1 Pack
This stuff is the bomb! I have a small machine shop and print farm and mostly us the 3d printer for making fixtures and jigs in addition to lots a prototyping. This is by far the best stuff I have laid hands on. I have been through at lest 20 other brands hunting for easy to print tough PLA. I also bought Matterhackers Tough PLA and the stuff beat it at 1/3 the price. No smell! Wish they had a wider assortment of colors at least the basics. Print temp 230 bed 50 for 1st layer then 0c speed 60 on Ender 3 purple glue stick on a mirror ... show more
