  • It's a Duncan. It's a classic. Enough said.
All my boys went with a Duncan when they grew up. Now it's my youngest boy's turn. Learning some tricks and showing off. Even before bedtime, he needs to throw in a couple more spins before laying down.

  • Good Looping Yoyo for a great price!
This is a pretty darn good looper. It is pretty much exactly like the PlayMaxx Proyo2 fom the late 90's. It has a good hand feel, and a good weight to it. The wooden axle system is very odd to me, but makes for great looping. I can still get it to sleep well and can even do around the world with it, but more complicate string tricks are OUT! If you are 'into' Yoyo's you should own one of these. I got two to start getting into two handed looping tricks. ... show more

  • Great yo-yo, poor buying experience
The yo-yo is great, but the seller (or Amazon, as this is sold by them?) doesn’t bother to allow color selection. They give you whatever they give you. This is clearly indicated on the product page, but doesn’t excuse them from the docked stars. With kids, color choice is a must. That way you avoid siblings receiving the same color, etc. ... show more

  • Piece of junk
I enjoyed Duncan yo-yos as a kid and really built them up to my grandsons. I ordered 4 and within an hour two had come apart. Not a big deal, I'll twist them back together. NOT. The axle bolts are too short. Not sure how they were manufactured. Don't bother, I won't again.

  • Duncan Good
Not a real trickster, but I have been YoYo-ing for decades. I can use both hands etc. I like these. They have some changes over the old one I also have. They will unscrew. Tighten when you open them. That fact revealed a wooden washer on the sides of the spindle which was interesting. They also have soft domes on the sides, which is good if you carry them in your back pocket. The old ones could crack. Overall, the balance is good, as in any Duncan (even the mini), and the slightly wider rim gives better impact dispersion on return. I am always glad to see Duncan Yo-Yos on store shelves. ... show more

  • Neat but flimsy
It’s fun to take a wood axel and shove it in a plastic frame. It’s not perfect though. The yoyo comes apart really easily no matter how much it’s tightened. It’s cool and I really enjoy the wood play but when it launches apart mid play it becomes a bit of a problem. Edit: I’ll update vendor reached out will update review if issue is resolved. I’ll add a star now just for the contact and will bump it higher if issue is resolved ... show more
