    • Poorly Engineered & Bad Price management
I'll start off with the point that I am not a paid reviewer and that this item was not provided to me free of charge for a review. This item was ordered, and paid for by me, six weeks ago and was delivered on time. That is about where the positive experience ends with this product. Customer Service: Update: 05/02/2022: The company appears to be very responsive and replied to me within 24 hours of submitting an inquiry through the amazon contact option. They have replaced the unit with a new one entirely, and the replacement was received within three days of initial contact with them. I'll monitor the performance of the item and update accordingly below in a few weeks. Overall, the quality of this product looked good from the outset, but time has proven otherwise. I purchased this for my wife as a replacement for a far less expensive model that was even worse in it's engineering. Ideally I focus on quality over quantity. Given the price at the time of purchase ($69.99 USD) for this item I had hoped that translated to a better quality product. Now I see that six weeks later, the price has dropped to $29.99 USD, more than half the cost of the original. This seems unreasonable to see such a dramatic shift in pricing within such a short time span. Other buyers beware if you decide to purchase this product. At least my wife likes the color (pink and white). Design/Engineering: I was originally drawn to the aspect of the wheels on the carriage appearing to have a softer rubber type tire over the plastic wheel, which was a pointed failure on different models that had just plastic wheels only. The wheel did not have any rubber coating though, thus plastic wheels rolling on a plastic segmented track. There is no noted wearing or degradation of the plastic wheels themselves, where they contact the track, so any plastic particulate is coming from the track and it appears to be some metal flakes/particles from bearing degradation as well. I can say that the wheel design over competitors is less aggressive in its destructibility of the track itself when compared with other similarly designed products. Noise: The hoop was still audible downstairs while it was being used upstairs. The majority of the noise is being generated by the bearings on the carriage. These bearings are NOT sealed and did come with a thin film lubricant applied. Any added lubrication that a user may apply after use will become a magnet for the plastic and metal particulates that wear off and are produced during use. This model does not appear to have serviceable bearings and no spare carriage was included with the other spare parts that were provided. I have reached out to the seller to find out if replacement parts are available under warranty. I will update the review once I have received a response from the seller on this aspect (updated above). Clasp: I have not seen any issues with the clasp/locking system for taking the hoop on and off either. Overall, I would give the engineers a D+ grade for their design of the integral component with the highest point of failure. Improve this product by utilizing a sealed and lubricated bearing and/or a replaceable/repairable bearing. Doing so will likely result in far fewer warranty issues and short term failures resulting in returned inventory due to failure. For the time being, I'm going to look into overhauling the broken unit with new sealed bearings and reusable bearing shaft for the carriage. ... show more

I am 100% the adult who hates to exercise and know I'm doing it. I like working out in the form of playing, why because it is more fun and less like work. I already have a job I don't need another one. So with that in mind why not try a hulahoop? I mean like everyone I remembered how AMAZING I was at it as a kid and I'm finally at that age where all my fat goes to my hips and tummy ... Plus a hulahoop works on that annoying hip fat. And as you can tell because I'm doing a review o bought it. It was so easy to use I didn't have to even use instructions. Yes, it does come with instructions and a link to a video to show you how to use it and workout with it. Anyway after setting it all up, I cannot TELL YOU how much my childhood memories lied to me. I am so not good at hula hooping and this was attached to my hips and I still had epic fails! So first off... Wear a shirt. An actual shirt. Don't wear a tank top or something to show off your tummy like the damn picture does. The little points to help you workout will pinch your skin fat. Not fun. Oh so not fun. Second if you read the directions and it says to try this for 15 minutes and increase to 30... Ignore it! Deal adult human beings who have to remember how to be a child again like me. I had tried for 20 minutes just to go over 20 spins around my hips! Apparently I forgot how to sway my hips... Third if you forgot how to hula get someone to trade with you. Meaning for you as person A if you made it to 10 full rotations and ended up having it stop, let person B your struggle partner take over until they beat your 10 full rotations. Once they do guess what, your A-Mazing and back up for your turn to beat whatever number they got to. And when you're about to break just think of, Happy Gillmore "It's all in the hips" and keep pushing. Between me (31F) and my little sister (17F)... I finally kicked her butt after 2 hours... But I worked out and so did she. Oh and if you don't have time to count rotations set a timer and just put do the other person's time. And fourth... It takes 3 days to do something daily to form it into a new habit and 3 weeks to make it a true part of your routine. Just have fun with it. And yes I'd buy this again... ... show more

1) I looked a lot into these weighted hoops but I decided to go with a cheaper one, so then I could invest in a more expensive one if it works. You get what you get. I got mine late August and now in mid-November, all the bottom wheels are off and it doesn't spin anymore. But you get what you pay for, I guess. It's also a bummer that it works shortly beyond the return window. 2) it claims that you burn 800 calories per 30 min. I would be in cardio zone for 35+ min and the most my fitness tracker would record would be 400. I would say that I am more fit since using it, but I have not seen drastic weight/inch loss. It definitely beats running though! 3) Overall, it works fine, until it doesn't. Maybe there's a reason why it is one of the cheapest plus a coupon! ... show more

Tbh I haven’t really used it much since I bought it (even though I should 😂) but when I first got it and tried it the weighted part kept stopping. It’s really hard to keep it swinging around, which is probably part of the exercise, but it kinda made me not ever want to do it. It also took me forever just fiddling with it to figure out how to put it together. Either I’m dumb or the instructions just weren’t very clear. I was really excited for it but once I tried it the waist thing is difficult to get right with the weighted ball. It’s like it has to be tight enough for the string to not get caught but loose enough to sit on your hips so you can actually get the ball to go all the way around. I’ve heard that once you get the hang of it that it can be a good exercise and is easy. I have yet to experience that but I’ll keep trying to figure it out! ... show more
