My slide topper was deteriorating due to sun damage from parking it. South Side of the trailer. Looking to get one season more out of it. Now that it is October, I will be replacing the canvas soon, but the repair lasted all summer. Note, this is not a permanent solution as the tape does gradually change color (clear to light yellow) from direct sun, our awning is white so it is noticeable if you look for it. However, it has held strong all summer with multiple openings/closings of the slide. One note to get it to stick. Make sure you clean where you apply it. We used alcohol wipes and waited for it to dry. After which, we took our time putting it on - very careful to make sure it adhered evenly without bumps and bubbles. The media could not be loaded. I bought this to repair holes and preemptively protect against further deterioration of the fabric due to design flaws of an awning. Tape seems durable and very sticky. I did use a plastic edge to get air bubbles out and rub the tape against the fabric to really activate the adhesive. Cuts easy, and when applied you can barely see it on the fabric ... show more
