This chair is smaller than expected. My son is 14, 156lbs, 5'6 This chair wouldn't be comfortable for anyone bigger than this. Chair came on time, true in color. Easy to install except when we got to placing the arm rest. The bolts didn't seem to fit and we had to struggle to get them into place. Other than that it feels comfortable to sit on. Feels sturdy. Maybe this is a good chair for your teen. Wouldn't know since after taking a month past delivery date to be delivered it's missing all the hardware necessary to put it together. I have contacted Amazon and if this issue is resolved I will give a follow up review.

This chair doesn't feel like it was built for people. The chair slants forward whenever I sit on it, making me feel like I'm gonna fall off and just feels too small for me despite only being 5'7", the arm rests have this weird downward curve, the lumbar support hurts more than it helps, and the holes for the screws weren't drilled far enough in, so I had to do it myself. Had this chair for right at two weeks. Kind of tough to put together by yourself, but generally straightforward assembly. Was rolling it from my tv to my desk (about 7 feet) and one of the wheels snapped off. Now I gotta get some kind of putty or something to keep the wheel on.
