I wanted a generator I could run my whole home on. I added a 6ga cord to this set-up so I would not lose any power. I fired it up and ran almost everything in the house at the same time. I do have a very efficient home with every light being LED's, 2 Mini splits, Well pump, Lift-station for the septic system, 2 tankless water heaters, 1 is 110-volt 30Amp circuit the other is 220 volts 60Amp circuit. We can run everything with the small water heater, but we have to shut off the AC to run the larger water heater, it draws 54Amps. Both AC units are 18,000 Btu's each Mini splits that are on 20Amp circuits and only draw 10.8 Amps each. We did run a couple of burners on the stove with everything else on and noticed only a small strain on the generator. We live here in central Florida and lose power with some summer storms and most hurricanes. I like that it runs with more power on gasoline than other generators with dule fuel, "pick a fuel man". We look forward to losing power and having the peace of mind knowing that we will be OK. Up-Date 10-28-2024. We just went through hurricane Helene and Milton; we lost power for about 48 hours. The generator worked perfectly; we were able to sleep in air-condition comfort. It's so nice to have peace of mind knowing that you'll be able to ride out the storm watching TV and having enough power to live in comfort. It ran 12 hours + before I refueled the gas tank. It only took about 5 gallons. Cost was approximately $30 per 24 hours, or ($900) for 30 days. Our electric bill in the summer is only $150, so the generator is a little expensive. This is our home backup generator option. Thousands of $$$ less than a generac. Uses a manual switch rather than automatic transfer switch. I think I have the cost of this generator, $300 for manual switch and my electrician, and another $100 for a power cable that runs from the generator to my meter box. In all, I came out more than $9,000 cheaper than what my generac quote was. I was going to do the generac, but our local dealer flubbed the install for over 9 months, I gave up and went this route instead. I ran it for 3 days non stop after a tornado, and ran it another day for backup power. Each time is started right up. I've only run it on propane so far. Happy with the purchase. ... show more

We purchased this generator because it was on sale, but we did not open the box for about 45 days, which ment we could not return it to Amazon. We opened it and it did not work from day 1. We called the manufacturer and learned that our generator was reported stolen from California. We had no warranty and we were in possession of stolen property. Also, this company was reported to Amazon. Amazon gave us a refund, but we had to jump through a lot of hoops and it took time. Do not buy from this company. They are suspected to be involved in stealing and reselling stolen property, which according to the manufacturer were broken generators to begin with... ... show more

Chinese quality. Mine came scraped up, but works fine for a budget tool. The wheels are cheap plastic and must be treated with care or they will break, the welds look like they were done by a 4 year old, but they will hold.... Last of the bad, some of the packing was basically melted on the lines, so it required cleaning before starting. The real rating is about 6.8/10 to a 7.2/10. I live in a rural area in GA. That was hit by hurricane Helene. I can't even begin to express how this generator has saved us. We have used it everyday since about Friday and it has worked perfectly. It runs our fridge, deep freezer a couple of fans, a laptop and is charging phones. We have used both gas and propane (gas will give you more wattage but the same run time about 13 + hours on what we are powering) it's worth every penny. I purchased the Green Power America 8K generator several years ago and have had great service. I decided to purchase this one due to hurricane season. I fired right up and runs well. The only thing I'm not happy with is the handle to move the generator around, they should have stuck with the old version where you can just pick up the end of the generator to move it around, this new version you have to lean down on it to lift the generator. It's okay for someone who has some weight, but if someone under 150 lbs. had to move it they may have trouble. ... show more

This product refuses to start, but our mechanic/electrician says he will make simple alterations and get it running today. We had asked for a refund and to have UPS pick it up, however, as hurricane Milton is about to bring a bit of chaotic weather here in NE Florida and there are absolutely no generators available for purchase locally, the refund & pick-up request has been canceled. I'll update this review as soon as I know if it ever starts. And yes, we have followed the manufacturer's trouble-shooting guide online as well as troubleshooting instructions in the product's user manual. ... show more
