This camera is well built and functioned as described. The suction mount worked well and can be removed and reinstalled without loss of grip. I used the best sd card available by Samsung. The video while driving was acceptable and when stopped you could read street signs plates etc. When moving those things became less clear. I think a 4k in the front cam may give better moving performance and I look forward to reviewing one of those. I had the D20 and again a good discount was applied so no bad at all. That said I fly Drones and 4K video is just better so I will return and look for a 4K Dash cam to review. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The COOAU D20 is a great dash cam, a quality very solid hardware. It does not come with a memory card and they recommend against the cheaper SanDisk ones. I purchased a 256GB Samsung Pro Plus card for my camera. This microSD card works great and handles the video recordings at the highest resolution with no problems. The video recording settings allow for various length recordings of clips up to 5 minutes. The camera creates a new file after the designated time is reached that you can review either on the camera itself, using the app, or just pull the microSD card out and upload the files to a computer. The file names are created with the date time stamp when the video clip is recorded so it makes it easy to sort them on a computer later. The files are uploaded as .mp4 files on my MacBook pro and play back quality is great. When the memory card is full of recorded clips it will start overwriting the clips if they are not locked files that are saved. The camera also will remind you to format the card when its full. This camera is easy to use and settings can be adjusted on the camera itself via the menu options or by using the ficom app on your phone for quicker setup. I have had a few issues with the ficom app staying connected to the camera wifi and have not had a chance to work through all the bugs with it yet to troubleshoot the problem. I have found the new updated app Aoni CarDVR worked and stayed connected and seems to have the same functionality as the ficam app. The included camera mount options of the suction cup or the sticky tape mount allows for flexibility of where you install the camera in your vehicle. I prefer the suction cup mount on my windshield. The included extra-long usb power cable connects with a USB-A connection and can be used with the included 12v connector or directly to a powered USB-A port in a vehicle. The cable connects to the camera with a micro usb connection. The cable is long enough to be routed around the car and hidden out of the field of view. The video quality captured is great during daytime or nighttime. I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a great quality full featured camera for a great price. I also own the D20S which I have had for about a year and wanted a new one for our other vehicle. The updates to this D20 model match all the features of my other model camera except the max resolution at 1080P is a little lower on this model D20 . The suction cup window mount allows me the flexibility to take the camera with me on business travel and quickly mount it in a rental vehicle. This D20 dash camera is great to capture crisp clear video of the traffic around you or the scenery if you are on the road alone. With all the crazy drivers on the road today the video should be able to capture any incident and help provide evidence of any event if needed. I bought the dash cam because it has an app to manage the dashcam from. The app installed fine on my phone, but when I try to insert the code it creates to verify my email. It will block me out and gives and error code . I have tried it 100 times at least. by the time i copy the code and return to the app, it has returned to RED LETTERS requesting I get a code. In addition, the only attached to the car window is the suction cup. The red stick pad was not included in the box. I have been trying to get through to support and it is very slow. The did not even answer my question in the first email they sent me. It was just a robo pre email I think. NOT HAPPY. I will return it if I cannot get the app to work. After hours of installing and removing and trying to get registered on the app, I finally got the app to allow me in. So except for the app issue all is good with the camera. ... show more

I was very pleased with this dash cam. The installation directions were clear and easy to follow. I purchased the additional wiring harness to plug directly into my fuse panel and that went extremely well. I was impressed with the quality of the video, the ease in recording w/o much input from me. I thought I didn't really need the inside camera but I'm pleasantly surprised how much it comes in handy when looking out the back window of my pickup truck. I would recommend this product highly if you are looking for a great dash cam for the those emergencies that might pop up while on the road. ... show more

Camera installed easy. I like that it has both front and inside/back recordings. Interface is simple, many options. Screen timeout is a good feature. Suction cup holds good after cleaning the placement spot and a little alcohol sprayed on first. Great product overall.

After installing the app, for this product, every one of my apps and every one of my widgets were scattered randomly, in mass, all over my phone. Nothing organized anymore. I will have to rebuild all of this. It actually even knocked out a couple of my apps and I will have to reinstall them. The users manual is a joke and customer service is lame, to put it mildly. They offer nothing other than some kind of chat. Also, part of the process is to type in and activation code that they send to you. They sent me four as each one failed and I had to request another one. After adding the activation codes you get a pop-up message that says activation code invalid. You keep chasing your tail on this and it never goes beyond that phase. Avoid this product. There are too many other ones on the market for anyone to have to deal with the inconvenience of this product backed by a company that offers no service. This is my second one, purchased this one for my wife’s car since I’ve liked mine so much. Works well, easy to mount and navigate, app is not bad, but is the weakness of this system. It works but needs refinement, but can’t beat the features you get for the money.
