  • BURN TIME
As a newbie to wood stoves I picked the HT3000 for price and videos I watched. The stove burns 100,000 BTU out put is for about 2-3 hours of optimum burn time. 10 hour burn time includes lighting the logs and still having coals that are hot enough to light the next set of logs 10 hours later. For constant heat you should expect to put a fresh set of logs in every 5 to 6 hours. I can get 6 to 8 -16" logs in the fire box. The stove will take 20" logs. ... show more

  • Love this stove.
We love this stove. We had a Vermont Casting wood stove for 30 years and it was time for a more efficient one. After much research we chose this one. It arrived earlier than expected and we weren’t ready for it ( still had the old stove and we wanted to build a stone wall ) however the freight delivery driver put in our garage ( it was on a pallet ). When we were ready for it - we moved it with casters and put it place. We’ve had it for awhile now and love it. It has great heat output, uses much less wood and takes much larger pieces of wood. It will last all night when well stocked. We also purchased the blower which helps to distribute the heat. Would definitely recommend! ... show more

  • Super burn times!
Stove came yellow freight to the roadside. But the semi driver was nice enough to pull into the drive and unloaded on my side walk. This stove takes a little getting used to of you are a conventional wood burner. The ambiance is awesome, like a fireplace. It heats as well as my old box stove with less wood. I have a drafty house so any cold is my own fault not the stoves. Exceptional burn times unless you want it really hot. To get it started you need to leave the door open for awhile until it's really burning. Watch out for the baffles on top of the fire box...don't just force in logs. Definitely watch the coals coming out...you need good floor protection. There is a ash dump. I just lift the plug with the fire poker and rake in, or shovel directly into the ash bucket.Over all very happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • KEEPS MY WORKSHOP COZY
My old wood stove was not very efficient so I decided to replace it with this stove. I have been using this daily for about two months and some and I am not disappointed at all. With it I also invested in the optional back mounted blower with I sometimes use in the morning for about an hour when the heat in the stove is built up to supplement the radiant heat given off by the stove. I also have two heat driven fans for lateral heat movement. I should note that my workshop is approximately 26 ft by 50 ft with 14 ft ceilings, a fair amount of space to keep warm. ... show more

  • Absolute BEAST of a Stove! The best upgrade of all time to our hunting cabin!
We have been running a "Franklin" style stove at my father's hunting cabin for decades and I finally convinced him to invest in something more efficient & would put out more heat. The cabin is a huge "pole barn" or "gambrel style" 2 story w/attic crawl space and this thing will heat the entire place to 70*F in one day in the dead of winter in northern MI. No more smoky smell getting into our clothes and whatnot and the best thing is not having to constantly put a log on the fire to keep it going overnight. Simply load up the firebox before bed and let it get super-hot then turn down the internal flue to minimum and it will burn clean wood for 6+ hours without needing to be tended to. * I purchased the optional blower & auto temp switch which is powered by regular 110-120v so we can supercharge the heat dissipation while our gas generator is running in the evenings. I definitely recommend that upgrade. * It is very heavy and will require 2 grown men to move it but 3 would be optimal. (Pros) -Super long burn-times, almost overnight. -Puts out a crazy amount of heat, especially with the optional blower. -EPA certified so it barely produces any smoke out of the chimney. -I love the handle being mounted on the left vs. the right on the HT2000. -Creates very little ash and a breeze when cleaning up the firebox. -Coals stay so hot that even when the stove goes empty, it will re-fire when a fresh log is put in. -Gorgeous design throughout w/ a nice easy to clean window on the door. (Cons: And these aren't really cons, just advice) 1) This thing will suck all the humidity out of the air when going full blast within a few hours. Even with an on-top stove steamer/kettle, the RH% (shoot for 40ish) cannot keep up with the heat output. If you are like me and are prone to nose-bleeds in dry climates, you may want to put a humidifier somewhere close by. 2) The door handle can (and will) get very hot at the stem so you need to be careful not to grab the entire knob, just the outermost section...and use a glove when opening or you could burn your hand. 3) Very easy to get hot FAST, make sure you have a magnetic temp gauge on your exhaust pipe around 18" above the stoves top base to know when to lower the internal flue to prevent an over-fire. Absolute must have. 4) It took a few nights in the fall to fully bake the stoves paint in place and it will smoke/fume and give off a smell, I suggest opening all the windows and let it do its thing as it eventually will cure and go away. I could not be more happier with our purchase, this thing is simply awesome! There is a reason it has a near 100% positive review rating, plus its EPA approved so you get a $300 tax credit at the end of the year if you claim it when filing your tax return. ... show more

  • Great So Far!
Just installed last weekend. I don't have any hardwood yet so I've only burned scrap lumber and pallets. Can't believe the amount of heat I've been getting out of this type of wood and my old stove would have gone through it in half the time!. So far I'm very happy with it. Can't wait to get some seasoned oak and see how long that goes! ... show more

  • Beast of a stove
This thing is a beast. With the damper turned down and a full load of good hardwood it will heat sufficiently overnight and have plenty of hot ember up till noon the next day. Great stove and a huge improvement over the steel box style stoves I’ve used in the past.

  • Very energy efficient...burns hot and slow
Very happy with this stove. It burns hot and has little to no smoke out the chimney. Easy to get a good draft and a responsive draft adjustment. Great glass view with very affective window draft, keeping the glass clean longer than most stoves I’ve had. Very low rear and floor heat. Great heat output without blower. ... show more
