These are Awesome! Cameras will detect and record motion... but this... will notify you of motion.... so at first... i though there was only one sound... you can program different sounds for each and memorize the location so that when it goes off... you know where the motion is and therefore respond to the appropriate area of intersection. in other words and as a random example... someone jumps your fence... you can place one in front of the fence and also behind it... when it goes off and nothing should be there.. you know that something walked up to the front tripped that one... then the back and tripped that one... and as they move... as long as you can remember which sound is which sensor... you can tell where the movement is coming from.... and it's expandable... you'll need 3AA batteries for each....and a small screw driver... the screws are tiny so put them together on a table or not over carpet or it can be easily lost and you don't have to take the backs off of the unit to put the batteries in... the backs of the units and the screws come in a separate bag... and a mount in another bag... so they do include a mount you can screw into a wall or fence board... at the end of the day... I'm going to buy more of these... so i would definitely recommend these to anyone.... sometimes... it's better to know that there is motion than to get a recording of it.... personally... im putting these up for anyone that might be prowling around at night... these are almost impossible to see at night so i get the tactical advantage... you can move the internal alarm to any outlet in the house... grab it and move it to another room at anytime... so for just a few bucks... it's worth the piece of mind that i have a motion system that will alert me of movement around the perimeter of the house... ... show more

We live out in a wooded, rural area where all sorts of woodland critters come out at night! In fact, we've had bear up on our decks several times, so it's become a bit dangerous to just let our dog out without knowing if anything is lurking about. We bought the "four pack", and I have to say these motion sensors are excellent at picking up anything from possums to humans, and the individual sounds assigned to each sensor makes it so easy to know just where the intruder is located! My only objection is that I wish there was an easy way to turn the individual sensors on or off as needed without disturbing their directional view. If not a switch, what about a hooded cover? For us, it's necessary to have all of them on during the day or before we go to bed, but not necessary for all of them at night while we're asleep. Other than that one thing, I would definitely recommend these cute, but effective, owl motion sensors! ... show more

I purchased these almost two years ago and they are still on their original batteries. I seldom write reviews on products unless they are either really good or really bad. These fall in the really good category. I have two transmitters and two receivers, one in the family room and one in our bedroom. I have a very long driveway and I know every time someone comes up it, no more unexpected knocks at the door. The second one looks across an equipment shed that is away from the house. While I have never had a problem with theft, I know every time someone enters it. Both of the transmitters are are over 50 yards from the house and work perfect at that distance. I will probably go ahead and put new batteries in both just as a precaution, but they work fine now on the original batteries. If I needed more coverage I would not hesitate to purchase more of these. ... show more

    • Not perfect but here’s the deal

Just had a good practice round, I’ll get straight to it. Alarm went off on the side of the vicinity, where no one was to be expected. (Luckily it was just pool service). Shot straight up (yes this alarm can be loud enough 4 volume settings, it was only on 2). Volume 1 is mute then it gets louder. So it does work, expect maybe a 1-2 second delay when tripped. Be aware, sometimes birds can trip the alarm and create false scenarios, but good for practice. These are better hidden for close use. Tried long distance but field of view (wide range not “tunnel vision”) doesn’t seem that strong. However, these should be combined with a detailed camera system. Overall, I will actually be buying more. It worked, and gave me enough time to prepare. Property is rather large, so will need more. For long range, haven’t tested. Close range (I have mine on stakes in the ground) seems to work). Lastly, these are very user friendly to set up. YouTube for visual learners, installation is friendly enough. Just know what tools are needed. ... show more

I definitely recommend this driveway camera!!!!! I also have it in the backyard because it keeps going off if there is additional movement which would wake me up at 3AM to protect my family. Don’t worry you can easily unplug it or turn off the noise during the day or any time you don’t want it. I almost feel it’s necessary for safety reasons. Not only does it give me a “real time” warning during the middle of the night but also during the day when a package is dropped off. This is helpful for me to deter porch pirates and gives me a heads up on any possible day time burglary attempts. This product is very easy to use and actually works! It is also reliable and consistent unlike the plentiful junk devices offered online. Thank you, sincerely, for offering this product. You just may have saved a life or a two by now. ... show more

Our mailbox is some 350 feet from our home and I wanted to know when the mail had been delivered. I thought that, at this price point, it was worth trying. It’s amazingly simple to set up. I have one unit inside the the mailbox and one mounted on a tree by the drive. I get a notification if the mailbox is opened and another if someone enters the drive. I had a question about siting the units and the owner/developer replied very fast and comprehensively. BTW The transmitter wouldn’t work inside a metal mailbox (of course!) but is perfect with a plastic mailbox. The only improvement would be if the receiver could communicate with a phone app! ... show more
