Features

  • Drill press machines are great for woodworking, metal working, plastic or composite drilling and more when you need to drill a straight hole or many holes in quick succession. The trouble with most drill press machines is that the table top that comes with them are not very practical. In steps the Fulton Drill Press Table, which is one of the thickest, most dense, vibration absorbing tables available today.
  • The Drill Press Table measures approximately 15" x 24" x 1-3/8" thick and is laminated on both top and bottom to prevent warping and to keep the table top flat. The top of the table is laminated with a smooth material that allows for easy positioning of your stock and is very easy to clean with household cleaners. The table also has a zero clearance is included that can be used for specific size bits. Two tracks run front to back for jigs and fixtures and they accept any 3/8" hex head bolt.
  • Below the zero clearance insert is an opening that measures approximately 5-5/16 x 5-5/16 at the top with a circle cut out of the center that is about 3-3/4 in diameter. The circular cut-out is approximately 1 deep. This gives you plenty of room to drop a drum sander below the top surface of the table and use the drill press like a spindle sander. You can use a drum sander that is as large as 3 in diameter. That feature alone separates the Fulton Drill Press Table from the others
  • That feature alone separates the Fulton Drill Press Table from the other "feature laden" and very expensive table tops. Another unique feature is that the table has been designed to fit on most any drill press table with a unique track mounting system underneath the table. You can mount the table top with the included post knobs if you have a slotted factory table top on your drill press or you can use the included aluminum hold down clamps to mount to any other style of table top.

  • A good value for the product received!
I just got mine today and I have to say that the previous reviews were pretty accurate. The parts are substantial and of good quality materials. You do have to install the rails but that just takes a few minutes. I did use larger screws that those provided but that was my choice. The fence will probably need shimming with a couple of strips of tape like most every other woodworking tool I have ever purchased. Overall I'm satisfied so far. I don't believe that I could have made one any better myself for the same money. ... show more

  • A nicely made, very solid basic table table
Bought this to pair with my new Wen 4214 12 inch drill press. The table is quite stout, and nicely finished. You have to drill your own holes to mount the t-tracks. Seems pretty easy to do since you already have a drill press, but not so. The table is sufficiently clunky that it is difficult to handle, and not easy to clamp to the small factory drill press table. The middle screw hole on the top two T-tracks will need to be drilled with a hand drill, since you cannot reach the spots with a 12 inch drill press. Obviously you could drill all of them with a hand drill, but the whole point of buying a drill press is accuracy, right? Would have been much easier if I already had a drill press table. If we had some ham we could have ham and eggs if we had some eggs.... Having drilled the holes (3/32 seems about right for a #6 screw), mounting the T-tracks goes easily enough. I had purchased some 5/8 and 3/4 decent wood screws from local hardware store for that purpose, but chose the 5/8. 3/4 cutting it too close. Holes/countersinks in aluminum tracks would also accommodate #8 screws, but #6 seem to make a really solid mount. I had considered adding epoxy but screws sufficiently solid that I deemed it unnecessary. And messy. In order to make the table crank handle (to raise and lower table) clear the table, I had to mount the table a bit away from the column assembly. I also shaved down the lower back edge of the table just a hair to improve clearance. That aspect of this is a Wen design flaw, since it would be an issue no matter how thick the aftermarket table was. Mounting to the factory table is a snap. Fence is nicely made, as are the two included aluminum hold down clamps. No stop block included, and no measuring tapes on the T-tracks, but those are available from other vendors, of course. All in all I'm quite satisfied, and would buy again. Shipped promptly. ... show more

  • GREAT DRILL PRESS TABLE
I purchased this table to use on my 10" Ryobi drill press that came with a small table with four diagonal slots designed for a drill press vise. The two screw-in handles that came with the Fulton table attached it solidly through the Ryobi's two diagonal rear slots. I did replace the included fence with a Biesemeyer 18-901 Universal Drill Press Table Fence that fit like it was designed for the Fulton table. The Biesemeyer fence has a low and high position, a built-in ruler for both positions and a built-in stop block. I am pleased with the Fulton table and would have given it 5 stars if their fence had been designed to the same standards as the table. Most of the tables I found would not work on the smaller drill presses and the Fulton was the best of the two that would. I would definitely purchase it again. ... show more

  • Basic Drill Press Table (Peachtree)
I felt like I was taking a chance ordering this drill press table having read only one review (although it is favorable). However, this is probably the best $99 I've ever spent. The table came very well packaged, is solid, and was super easy to mount on my Delta DP300L 12" drill press using the t-track on the bottom of the table. The only "assembly" required is fastening 3 t-tracks with 5 screws each (from above). If the tracks ever start pulling up, I can epoxy them in later, but I don't anticipate any problems. You shouldn't really be torquing those hold-downs anyway- just enough to hold the part. The hold-downs slide in the t-track on hex-heads. They're not t-bolts but they work fine. The aluminum sub-fence is well made and also slides easily on the t-tracks. The only issue I have is the fault of the drill press, not this table. When you turn the handle to raise/lower the table, it hits the table itself, so I had to slide the Peachtree table off (from the bottom t-track), set the table height, then slide it back on. It's clear to me that this will be a problem no matter which after-market table you get for this Delta drill press. I'm thinking I can probably rig some sort of ratcheting handle so I can make adjustments using half-revolutions instead of full revolutions. Or maybe a smaller handle (star knob?). I considered the Woodpecker table before purchasing this one, but it won't fit a 12" drill press. Also, the price starts to go up once you add the accessories. I also looked at cheaper tables, but they weren't nearly as well made. If you need a basic, sturdy, accurate drill press table, I recommend this table without reservation. ... show more
