Came quickly and well-packaged. Needed to replace broken crank handle on an old Craftsman radial drill press for which the part is no longer available. The shaft I attached it to is 9/16" or 14.28 mm. This mounting hole for this crank is just a smidge too small for that, but easy to bore out to 9/16". Sturdy, well-made part - better than the original. As another review pointed out, it is a longer crank arm and may hit your drill press table. I needed a crank with an inner diameter closer to 14.5mm which is what the specs are for this handle. Unfortunately, it fell well short of that at just slightly over 14mm.

The media could not be loaded. The crank input shaft diameter on my Harbor Freight drill press is about 14.25mm. The description for this crank handle is that the inner diameter of the receiving hole is about 14.5mm. From that description, I would have thought it'd fit, but it doesn't – a few thou short. I had to file down the input shaft on the drill press a little bit in order to fit it on. Not cool, but not the end of the world, either. Once I got the crank handle installed, I then ran into the problem of the crank handle being too long and hitting the drill press table as shown in the video. ... show more

    • Worked great on old Craftsman drill press
I ordered this to replace the handle on a very old Craftsman drill press. This handle is much heavier duty than the original. The original lasted many years and I would expect this one to last much longer. I was a little concerned when I first received it because it is straight and the original handle had a slight S-curve in it to clear the drilling plate. (You can see in some of the product images that the handle on the drill presses are curved like this.) But this replacement handle worked fine. The mount for this handle extends out from the handle some and results in the handle sitting further out that the original handle and clears everything, no curve needed. This handle is longer than the original, giving more leverage and easier cranking. ... show more
