  • You had me at "carbon fiber".
I have a house that the previous owner made some...ahem...questionable repair / maintenance choices. As a result, there are some things (like, cracks in cement) that are in need of some of my special attention. As I just spent another 15 minutes in my garage cleaning out the filter for my basement dehumidifier, I was actually pondering what I might do to...patch a few spots. It was shortly after that I saw this kit, and being a big fan of both epoxy as an adhesive and carbon fiber as a material, this was a no brainer so I ordered it. It comes with a nice roll of carbon fiber and some tips, but one thing it doesn't come with is an epoxy gun, you'll have to provide your own. Dricore sells epoxy guns here on Amazon (along with many other brands), and after looking at quite a few of them, Dricore's epoxy gun actually seems like a pretty good deal, so if you get this repair kit, you may want to take a look at their epoxy gun, too, if you need one. Another thing I recommend picking up if you don't have any is a "Bondo spreader" to help smooth out the carbon fiber after you have it all "epoxied-up". There are lots of things you can use to do this, but I prefer a Bondo spreader. If you're doing this inside, make SURE you lay some plastic down or something to prevent drips. And make sure your bonding surfaces are clean. No, it's not a cheap kit. How much is your house worth again? I think the few bucks is worth it. The fact it all mixes in the tips makes it so easy. And carbon fiber is sooo strong. I'm probably going to use every square inch of this. 100% recommended. ... show more

  • This may seem expensive, but when you can do it yourself, you save a lot!
There are times when hiring someone to fix simple things is not the way to go. DIY is the answer, especially with things you never thought you could do. The kit comes with all of the items you need to make easy repairs. This comes with everything that you would want from instructions to materials. If you get a crack in the foundation or the sidewalk, you can fix it easily. My handy man perused the kit and the materials and told me this would be ideal for his to use when making simple repairs on jobs he does. We highly recommend! ... show more

  • Neat repair kit that affixes well to concrete
This is quite pricey, but repairing cement cracks is a difficult endeavor. This kit comes with everything you need, and clear instructions. It affixes well to concrete, and so far seems to be solid. They say it can even be painted over, if you have a painted wall that may be an option. It does cover the crack and seems structurally sound. The epoxy is strong, and very solidly stuck the carbon fiber on. It was a simple enough process, though a little messy as epoxy always gets. Note you'll need an epoxy gun and some kind of spreader to smooth down the finish, a thick strong one will help you make the surface flatter and neater. ... show more

  • COMMERICAL GRADE CARBON FIBER KIT, NOT FOR A FIRST TIME USER: CARBON ROCKS FOR REPAIRS.
MY VIDEO REVIEW WILL BE POSTED THIS WEEKEND! THIS IS AN AMATURE TO COMMERCIAL REPAIR KIT YOU NEED GLOVES, A LARGE SURFACE AREA, A MASK (MAYBE HEPA), AND A GOOD GAME PLAN FOR ITS USE. LOOK AT YOUTUBE FOR ADVICE AND TAKE YOUR TIME. TRY A SMALL AREA FIRST ON A BROOMSTICK OR PVS PIPE TO EXPERIMENT. GOOD LUCK ... show more

  • Pricy but worth it
This was much easier to do than I was expecting, the cost is a little pricy but if it holds up over time - it’s definitely worth it , the instructions are clear , I’d suggest wearing gloves and clothes you don’t care about (just incase you get any resin on the clothes ) it has stopped the leak I had in foundation so I’m pleased . ... show more
