(1.1mm) thick blade making it ideal to cut, groove, and trim all types of metal including hardened steel. Perfect for projects like cutting bolt heads, reslotting damaged screws, cutting sheet metal, or trimming metal rods. The cutting discs are also ideal for delicate woodworking projects and can be used on other materials including wood, plastics or ceramics. The wheels are designed with the patented EZ Lock™ system making accessory changes quick and easy. E-Z lock is very secure. The discs are outstanding. I have used these to cut hardened steel (locks, chain, etc) and their performance is noteworthy. If you remember the old fragile cut-off discs and how steady you had to be to not break them, then using these will be a pleasure. I had screw that was way to long on the locking handle on my fence. Nothing else would work on cutting It shorter. I bought these and it cut through the screw like it was butter! Easy to put on, easy to take off, tough, gets the job done!

I bought these originally to cut off the iron-holder off the end of my wife's ironing board. The cutters that came with my Dremmel blew into pieces when I tried to use them on this heavier metal. So I decided to buy a real cutting wheel. I quickly got it installed onto my Dremmel and started it up - it made quick work of the metal brackets in question. I also used it to smooth down the sharp edges left so that my wife would not cut her fingers opening/closing the ironing board. When it was all said and done, it took my about 5 minutes of grinding time, and when I compared the used wheel to a new wheel, I had utilized about 10-15% of the wheel. I didn't think I would use that much, and I'm not sure how far you can go down before the wheel is useless, but in total original size, it used about that much. What was also interesting is that the metal did not seem as hot to the touch as it was when I was trying the other cutting wheels. Most likely because the cut was quicker and didn't have enough time to build up more heat. Pros: Cut like a pro, easy to install. Cons: I felt that the price was quite high for as much cutting as I think they will do. If it included 1 or 2 more, it would be more inline. Hence, -1 star. ... show more

I was used to the old type of dremel cutting wheels, and decided to give these newer style a try. Well I was not disappointed. They work very well and are way more durable. I was able to make a job that would have required two wheels of the old style, and this required just one wheel (which has still a lot of cutting left in it). Also very happy with the quick lock feature. They're expensive, but it looks like they are worth it, at least to me. ... show more
