The 408 features a coarse 60 grit abrasive which efficiently clears away a layer of debris or finish from material. The replaceable bands can be used with the 407 1/2 In. Sanding Drum Mandrel or pair it with the EZ407SA Dremel EZ Drum™ which makes accessory changes 5X faster than using a standard drum mandrel. Compatible with all Dremel corded and cordless rotary tools. There’s no need to hunt for the right collet, all Dremel rotary accessories feature a 1/8” standard shank. The Dremel 1/2-Inch Sanding Band is ideal for rough-shaping and smoothing wood and fiberglass, as well as removing rust from metal and shaping rubber surfaces.
