A pretty basic alarm. Could be more attractive, but it's innocuous enough and I like the red digital readout. Numbers are big enough and brightness is adjustable. Price is spot-on and I would recommend to anyone considering a good reliable clock!

I needed to replace my old clock radio because the display got so dim over the years, it was impossible to see the time. Also...way too many buttons, way too many functions. I wanted a clock that just told time, had an alarm, and you could plug into the wall. That's it. I would pay extra to have less buttons and less functions! My old clock had buttons on the top, the sides, probably the bottom too. I was so happy to finally get rid of it. I was instantly in love with this little clock. It's small because it's so well designed. There are four buttons on the back of the clock which are so easy to use when setting up the clock. One button sets the alarm, the other sets the time and when setting each time period you have the option to go forward or backward when setting the time. This was such a nice option because every other device I have in the house, if you miss the time you wanted, you have to go through the whole 24 hour cycle of finding that precise hour or minute again. Errrrgh. Another wonderful thing is when the alarm goes off, you just have to push ANY button in the back to turn it off. You don't have to open your eyes or think too hard when you're half asleep. Also, the snooze button....it's not a button, you just gently tap the top of the clock and the snooze alarm is set. Another feature I really really appreciate is the light display control. The clock is really bright but it's easy to turn the little wheel in the back to dim it for sleeping. I think that's the best feature of the clock for me. The little clock is so well designed and its actual design is elegantly simple. If something doesn't need to be on there, it's not. My Mom and Dad are elderly, in a nursing home. Both have very limited vision. I bought this clock for their bedroom. I bought another one (different brand) for their sitting room. This clock has quite a small footprint, which makes it easy to place on a bedside table or shelf. Because it’s so small, I was worried the digits would also be small. When I plugged it in, the numbers are big and bright and clear. Both my parents can see it! It’s very hard to become elderly and dependent on others for everything from your medicine to your meals. Something so simple - being able to see a clock and tell the time - provides a connection to “the outside world” that many of us take for granted. Sharp, bright, adjustable, easy to use. I really like this clock, I bought two of them. They are clear and easy to ready. Pretty much my only complaint is that they do not auto-dim. The display can be adjusted from super bright, which can be read in full sun, down to zero. If you use this in your bedroom, you may have the problem I have, which is that you need to turn up the brightness to see it in daylight, but then when you go to sleep it is way too bright, so you need to turn it down manually. For the one I have in my office, this is not a problem. But still a pretty good clock. ... show more

Didn't get this for an alarm clock so I can't comment on that. Bought it for the den. Our nice dial clock in there becomes hard to read when the lights are down. Got this to use during those times. Have had it for a month and it's doing great, still on the minute. I was most attracted to the choice of colors. We got green. It was easy to set time and the dimming feature is great. It has variable adjustment instead of the "clicks" adjustment, and it covers a wide range from really dim to really bright. My only beef is that the image on the website left me thinking it was bigger than it is, but that's on me for not looking over the info more carefully. It's still very easy to read from 20-30 ft away, especially with the brightness available. ... show more

I like that I can adjust the brightness so it doesn't keep you from falling asleep (I chose the blue readout). The display is large enough to see from a distance. Easy to set, and keeps time during a power outage due to batteries.

I needed a simple alarm clock that I could read across the room without glasses. There are a lot of choices but this one also has useful controls - for me the important is + and - buttons so you don't have to go around the clock to go back an hour. An the little wheels to set brightness and alarm loudness are easy to use. What would make it better? Function labels on the top, for the buttons which are on the back. ... show more

This is exactly the type of Bed Side Alarm Clock I was looking for. Just a large digit display, no Radio or Multiple Alarms. It is also Usb powered and has a Usb out port so it was a clean looking install. The only thing that I don't like is that it is so lightweight that it moves around a lot when I plug in my Phone but that's really nitpicking. ... show more
