When this down comforter is first removed from the bag, it has been vacuum-sealed and is full of wrinkles. I recommend throwing it on air dry in a dryer with a damp towel to remove most of the wrinkles. It can also be used as an insert for a duvet cover and has tie loops at the corners for that purpose. The fabric is a bit stiff and is a heavy weight cotton (to contain the feathers) so it isn’t soft like microfiber. It even crinkles a bit when moved. If you want a softer feel, use a duvet cover. The comforter has a nice, baffled edge construction allowing for extra loft. The main part of the blanket also has large square baffles with pin tucked design on the top that keeps the feathers in place and allows them to fluff. The contents are 90% goose feathers and 10% goose down so it is a good weight for year-round use. It does a good job of keeping you warm without making you sweat. ... show more

Little late reviewing this comforter. I have a habit that I can't sleep without covering myself with a comforter/throws whether it's a hot or cold night. This comforter is of great quality. Cotton fabric is soft to feel, thick to keep you warm and due to the pinched pleat, the feather is uniformly distributed and won't accumulate at one corner or middle. I had another goose feather comforter that would come out through the fabric but this one I didn't have such an issue. A little thicker and warmer for the summer days but definitely a good comforter for cold nights. ... show more
