Update: Our son is now 19 months old - he's quite a big boy (already over 3 ft) and a real wriggler even when sleeping but the crib affords him plenty of space and is holding up well. Still love the appearance of the crib (we have the natural wood) and find the changing table and drawers / shelves very useful. It's a shame that some people still seem to be receiving incomplete / damaged orders because for us this was a great buy and excellent value for money. Next step will be to see how the transition to toddler bed goes but we're still a way off being ready for that. Original: I did a lot of research before deciding which crib to buy - this one looked so beautiful and practical but I was concerned by some of the earlier reviews referring to parts not arriving, holes not lining up etc. I decided to trust my instinct and also the fact that the most recent reviews were very favourable - so glad I did! The quality is excellent, especially considering the price. We are pushed for space so this is our only real piece of nursery furniture. To have the changing table, drawers and shelves as part of the package is so useful and I'm sure we will find the fact that it converts to a toddler bed very handy in the future. All of the parts arrived on time and together. We had no problems with assembly (a couple of minor 'scratch your head moments but nothing compared to other flat pack furniture we've had in the past). All holes lined up just fine. There were a few extremely minor scuffs on the wood but nothing on any really visible parts once the thing is assembled. It took my husband and I (currently 7 months pregnant so not as mobile as usual) a little under 2 1/2 hours to put together and neither of us is particularly DIY savvy. If 1/2 stars were possible, I'd probably have given this product 4 1/2, due to the minor scuffing I mentioned and a couple of slightly tricky moments when assembling. But, as 1/2 stars aren't possible, I felt it fairer to round up rather than down in this case. Not sure if we were just lucky or whether the glitches mentioned in earlier reviews have been addressed across the board. Either way, I couldn't be happier with this lovely, sturdy crib and feel it represents great value for money. Looking forward to getting our baby in it! ... show more

Original crib instructions said we only needed a universal bed rail. So when my daughter turned 3, I bought a universal bed rail from Dream On Me. Spent 2 hours trying to figure out how to make it work, since the instruction manual is extremely unclear. It was impossible and I had to stop. That was the first night my daughter didn’t have a bed. It has almost been a month. I contacted support the next day and they said that I need this other SECRET piece that is not mentioned in ANY OF THE MANUALS. So I ordered the secret piece that I never knew I needed. This is the piece I’m writing a review on. Piece gets there. I spent 2 hours trying to figure out why the universal bed rail won’t screw in to the head and foot boards. Well turns out the screws that came with the universal bed rail doesn’t actually fit. It’s about a quarter inch too short. Since that day, I have gone back and forth with customer service over email since their phone number is off (good indication of their level of support). It has been since Oct 6. I JUST NEED 8 SCREWS! And to EARN my 8 screws, I am answering many redundant questions, taking pictures, and waiting ELEVEN business days. To this day, I have not gotten confirmation that they will send the correct screws, it is now Oct 21. I will be figuring out my own screws that fit instead of being SCREWED by their incompetency. I bought this bed from Amazon because it was cheaper on here than any other website that sells this exact bed, along with it was a 5 in 1 vs. 4 in 1. I love the color and the bed was easy enough to set up, that my two 11 year olds were able to help. The instructions wasn't always clear or easy to understand, so it was alot of trial and error with some parts, but not too bad. This bed is similar to the bed I bought my son 11 years ago and we didn't have to buy extra pieces when it was time to convert to other stages, so my biggest complaint for this bed is that we have to buy additional pieces for conversion. The company only provides with one extra piece for toddler bed conversion, and that a support bar, you dont receive the rail. Lastly, just like others who posted their pros and cons, the bed comes with alot of dents and markings due to manufacture. ... show more
