This is just what I wanted--perfect, I would say. The cushioning is not too soft or too hard. The apparatus is light, yet sturdy. Hey, it's even good-looking. I used it today in my garden and what a relief to be able to sit close to my weeding (and whatever)--and it was easy to "drag around" with me from plant to plant. I already had a knee pad, but it has to be placed on the ground which can become slippery if damp. This knee pad is slightly above the ground and the pad's surface is not slippery. Let's hope it will last for quite some time. I sense that it will. P.S. Just discovered a problem: When squeezing the spring apparatus that releases/unfolds the "legs" be careful where you place your hands. The skin web between my thumb and forefinger got badly pinched by the mechanism and boy did I yelp! If you're going to use garden gloves anyhow, you might want to put them on ahead of time. ... show more

This kneeler-seat is a wonderful item for gardeners (& for cleaning under sinks, etc). It is easy to carry here & there, easy to use as a kneeler or a seat. For those with tender knees, it is so comfortable. Also the 'legs' give you support for standing up from kneeling. And it is nice to be able to sit to prune or plant. The bag that hangs from the handles is very convenient for carrying garden tools around with you. And it folds up so well. ... show more

    • Sit or kneel!
I have an older version that is lower when you sit on it and very hard to get up from. This newer version is perfect for doing those tasks where I can sit instead of bending. Very sturdy.

This is a good help for people with limitations. It feels sturdy and safe to use. The only thing I would change is to add a little more padding on the kneeling side. It's a little too hard for me. Yes I would buy again if I need another one.

I actually use this in my home and not to garden. I am a senior and use this when I have to get down on my knees to do something, such as change the light bulb at the back of the oven. It made it easier on my knees, plus gave me a handle for support, and two handles to help me get up from a kneeling position. I can see that it would be extremely useful for gardeners. I sent one to my sister as a little gift for her new home. I thought it would be helpful for her to use putting away things in lower cabinets. ... show more

I'm a 65 year old with bad knees and back. This thing is exactly what I needed to help me with those things that require time and/or have to get low. It is especially good when I need to get on my knees. The padding is just right for me. Just soft enough to not be uncomfortable, but hard enough not to bottom out.
