I’m a total and complete bedding snob. I can’t sleep unless everything is just right. I can’t stand having weight on me when I sleep, and need my blankets cloud light. I always use soft, fluffy down comforters and love them, but I sleep with my dogs and have to wash them often. I’ve had a couple get punctures and explode down in the dryer, and the last time almost started a dryer fire. So, I’m no longer using down and needed to find an equally light, cloud soft alternative. It’s not sewn with one giant sheet of filling making it stiff. It’s individual pockets seems filled separately which gives it that goose down movement. It’s quiet. No crinkling. Even without a nice duvet cover it’s still soft enough to just sleep with if you want. I hate being too warm when I sleep, and this has been keeping me nice and comfortable. You never know what you’re going to get with a comforter but if you’re looking for maximum fluff and stuff and weight—this is it. Unfortunately even our large capacity commercial style front load washer would not be able to handle this once it needs to be cleaned. We bought this for a vacation rental property we own in Florida and in hindsight I probably wouldn’t get one this heavy because our weather here is quite warm year-round. I do like the volume it would provide once a duvet is on it But it’s going to be a pain in the ass to wash because you’ll have to get one of those hotel capacity size at the laundromat. But quality is incredible and it’s very hard to find comforters true to their description such as this one. If you are in a colder region you will love this ... show more

I bought 2 for my toddler girls. I researched out a ton. I was shocked that I cannot find a ton of twin comforters for my girls. Most start at full size or duvet covers only. When researching duvet inserts, They either had too many reviews with bugs in them or they were super expensive because it was the real deal. I got these for about $20 a piece (I actually had to reorder because I originally bought them for $32 and amazon wouldnt price adjust from the same company). They are sturdy, they are plenty thick and fluffy. Most duvet inserts everyone says it doesn’t look like pictures (on every listing I’ve seen because you aren’t buying the expensive, fluffy ones) but these are very fluffy but light enough and heavy enough and soft. The duvet insert also has probably 6-8 loop holes (not just the corners but also the sides). However the duvet covers that I got from PB teen only had the four ties but I have more loop holes if others come with side ties. ... show more

To me, the loops on this are a hit. They are necessary for keeping the duvet cover on. It isn't quite as long or wide as stated in the description, which seems common for comforters.. Maybe they really have to be stretched out far to achieve that length... Other than that, it's a nice weight and pretty comfortable.
