The 'massage' (if you can even call it that) is pretty gimmicky. I just took it out of the lumbar support easy. Build feels solid. I am not sure the foot rest can be heavily used without breaking down, but time will tell. For this price, it works well. I wouldn't expect to take a nap in this comfortably. I really like this chair even now, several months after I've had it. It is held up pretty well, all things considered. I use it daily as my work from home chair. Putting it together was a pain, but the instructions were pretty clear. Except for the footrest. There were some minor variations on the foot rest instructions that ended up losing me and I put it in the wrong way and it was a whole thing that I had to fix. And since I use it as an office chair, I never actually use the footrest anyway. Furthermore, on the few occasions I did try to use it it seems like it's just the wrong length for me to comfortably get my legs on it. I couldn't quite figure out how they actually intended me to use it in a way that would be long-term comfortable. I have found it to be handy to put items on though when I'm sitting cross-legged in the chair and gaming in the evening I love the fabric and color, although I can see that it won't be as easy to keep clean as leather, I adore how cozy it feels compared to other office/gaming chairs. One thing I did not like was that after about a month of use I had to go through and retighten everything. I'm not sure if it was just part of the process of settling? But I noticed that over time all of the bolts just loosened up and the chair felt very wobbly. Fortunately I did keep the Allen wrenches so it was a fairly simple matter to tighten everything back up again. It has not loosened up on me since and that was several months ago. So I'm only left to assume that maybe it's part of the break-in process? Either way hold on to your Allen wrenches because you may need them again The back massager has been pretty useless for me. It was just really hard to get the USB cord into a USB outlet with enough space that I wasn't constantly concerned about ripping it out of the computer. So I don't use the back massager feature I do like the lower lumbar pillow though! It's really comfortable. This may be billed as a gaming chair but it is equally comfortable as a work from home office chair. Overall, for a inexpensive chair, I've been pretty happy with this purchase. I don't know how many years it will last, but the color of the fabric and the feel of the fabric are worth the reduced wearability for fabric chairs in general. Although, as far as fabric on office chairs are concerned, this one is more durable than most. The chair was easy to assemble with two people. One person could do it, too but we happened to have two. Directions were clear & concise. The chair is very sturdy and comfortable. One of us weighs 290 lbs - chair holds up well Great value for the price. We got the light blue/gray color - very nice.

I've had the chair for 2 months now. Assembly was simple, instructions were somewhat clear. I am 6'2" 200 lbs. The back height is great, I can rest my head on the headrest with ease. The back has zero cushion built in. There is a head pillow and lumbar pillow, that is the only cushion for your back. The lumbar cushion has a "massage" option, in which is a 1 speed vibration that does not do much. The cushion is very soft and flattens quickly. The reclining option is a nice feature but it does "pop and crack" often. I fear this may fail. The seat cushion/springs are kind of weak, after an hour or two of sitting it feels like there is no cushion. The leg rest is extremely weak. I do not see this feature lasting very long at all. The bars are thin and weak. Once the rest is extended and your leg weight is on it, the rest begins to sag a couple inches. These need to be reinforced if they are going to last. The wheels are smooth rolling. I have ensured all bolts are tightened and I still have some movement between the seat of the chair and the hydraulic. I would recommend this chair if the price was $100 or less. But, at $150, I believe there is better options on the market. Its a great looking chair and has tons of potential. But, I will have to modify a few sections for this chair to last. ... show more

I'm making this review from what my husband says. He's a computer gamer and his last chair was a cheaper one and he put it through the ringer. He likes to really spread out and get comfortable while he rage spams his f2 button. We got him this chair for christmas. It's still in perfect condition minus a few bird poops here and there, I'm sure (we have a bird, it doesn't come with it's own personal bird poop). He says it's really comfortable and works great. His only complaint is the arms are a little high up. Hopefully this chair lasts him longer this go around. It looks pretty cool, I don't mind watching him clinch his jaw in anticipation while he games. ... show more
