However the most annoying part is when you try to swivel up the ipad from the keyboard, there isn't enough magnetic power or connection to keep the screen portion connected to the keyboard on its way up. It's difficult to find a good iPad Pro case that is a laptop-type clam shell (no kickstand) and has a detachable keyboard. I've tried a couple and so far they all have a similar problem, an odd keyboard connection. Other ones I've tried have the keyboard connect via the connection pins, this one uses Bluetooth. Both have a similar problem in which you have to hit the backspace button or some keyboard keys won't work, like the space bar. Very annoying. It might be an Apple problem, IDK. I didn't care for the Bluetooth connection and preferred the pin connection of other pads. Other thoughts: it's light weight, which is ok, but this is work tablet and would have preferred something more healthy duty than what this was, but otherwise it's good. Keypad wasn't as responsive as I wish it was, but I generally don't use a keyboard with a tablet anyways. Typing was good when it was working. You cannot charge the keyboard and tablet with just 1 charger, you charge both independently. Overall it's a nice slim case with a detachable keyboard, just wasn't a fan. ... show more

Return was started the minute I opened this case. It is supposed to have a detachable keyboard...it does not. Also listing title says for the new Ipad Air 11 inch...box the case comes in does not agree. Also, it is made of very cheap plastic.

EDITED After my initial 2-star review and my return of the product, the company was wonderful in communicating with me. I am currently using a 2nd keyboard case and I am happy to report that the main problem with the first unit (the hinge) must have been a glitch and that this unit is much more solid. The color of the keys is still the same. They are either white or rainbow (there are no individual colors). But as I typically only use the white anyway, this isn’t a deal breaker for me. I like that it has a dedicated row of IOS/function buttons and I LOVE the sleep/wake feature of the case!! So many cases are missing that these days. Now yes, it’s still a Bluetooth connected device. No pass through charging. There are some occasional lag points. But, unless you buy the Apple or Logitech cases, this is your only option. Typing is pretty good and the trackpad is pretty good. Not perfect, but pretty good. Again, unless you buy the Apple Magic Keyboard, you’re not going to get the same level of trackpad. You just aren’t. And unlike my old keyboard case, I don’t find myself having to turn the trackpad off all of the time as my thumbs typically brush up against it. With this case, it doesn’t seem to happen as often and it doesn’t make the cursor jump the way my old case did. Yes, you can turn the trackpad off/on (it is on by default when you turn the keyboard on). Connecting the Bluetooth is easy and the case seems to do a nice job of protecting the iPad (not going to drop test it though, thank you very much). Overall I have to say that I am impressed with this case and it’s features. I love that the screen can be flipped around and lay flat for tablet mode and the price point. No, it’s not an Apple Magic Keyboard. But it will save you some money and give you a really good alternative option. ... show more

The products works well enough I suppose. The lag time for it to wake up and connect is slower than I would like. The biggest drawback for me is that it separates too easily when simply opening it. I like the feel of the keys when using the keyboard, but the fact that it separates so easily is a deal breaker for me. Fix that and I would purchase the updated model. ... show more

I like everything about this keyboard case. I poured many hours into research over the different iPad keyboard cases before choosing this one. Pros: Sturdy with really good protection. Keyboard doesn’t compromise on the placement or the size of the shift key on the right. The top and the bottom can easily come apart from one another. Rotates with a nice, variable degree of angles. Keyboard battery lasts very well. Has magnetic edges for keeping easier track of iPad pencil. Shipping was very fast. Designer/manufacturer is easy to communicate with. Very sturdy connection between top and bottom, very strong. Price point was very good for the quality upon purchase in fall of 2021. I would buy this again in a heartbeat and it would make an extremely nice gift for somebody that has the correct size of iPad. So nice that the two pieces can detach so easy while still protecting your iPad, without having to remove it from the case. Great design Dogo! Cons: Backlit keyboard could be a little more consistent on the amount of light emitted throughout the different parts of the keyboard,m; one area is slightly dimmer than the rest, but not an issue. Personal wish that this rotated back a little more in angle than it does but definitely not an issue. Purchased to replace a “rugged” keyboard case where the keyboard no longer worked and the company stopped making an equivalent model. I like the magnetic latching system between tablet side and keyboard side. It allows for video mode while traveling. And does not break like the ones which rotate.

Converted my iPad to a tablet. Hardshell iPad cover ‘slots’ onto keyboard but is difficult to open without removing from keyboard piece. Took to on a plane to a conference to use instead of a laptop and worked great as a laptop substitute but the design needs work.
