Let me just get this out of the way. This is a really nice dog crate. I have a Chihuahua Jack Russel mix (Roscoe) and a Lab Husky (Max) mix. They were sharing the same crate. Things were great as long as Max followed Roscoe's rules. Mainly, it was Roscoe's property. . . everything is Roscoe's property. The crate came quick. It set up even quicker. I noticed right away what a quality product this crate is. The metal is heavy duty, with nice smooth wire. No worries about the 4 legged family members getting scratched or poked, or worse. The bottom slides in and out which makes it easy to clean. There is a handle at the top of the crate for moving or carrying. Its a nice touch. I don't think I am going to be lugging it around anytime soon, but its nice to know that the handle is going to be a huge help when its collapsed for easy movement. An added bonus to this crate is the double door design. I wasn't expecting that. It opens in the front like they normally do, but also on the side. I really like the side opening because there are times when its needed to have that extra room to get to a pet in distress, or maybe helping with a new "mom" and her pups. You can move the crate in different positions with a side opening. You have options on how you are placing the it. Roscoe took to this crate right away. I think its because it is smaller than the one he was sharing with Max. Although it is quite roomy for him, it is still smaller making it more secure for him. But then again, he hasn't filled it yet with his special blanket and babies yet. I really like this crate and think at $58. its a good deal. The whole thing is quality and heavy duty. I am super happy with my crate, and the two guys finally have their own "bedrooms" right next to each other. ... show more

My favorite feature is the dual door system. My last wire cage only had a door on the narrow end. This one has another, larger door on the wide side which is really useful. I use mine for cats which need to be isolated from time to time. Right now, I have two that have not yet been fixed and when they are, this allows them to be in the room where everyone is but still isolated from the others and to restrict their movements while they heal. That's Eddie (scissor paws) checking it all out. The cage is easy to assemble. The doors are simple and easy to operate. The bottom bin is plastic (my last one was steel) and easy to clean. It collapses down to a relatively flat bundle with the tray inside, then it has a latch to keep it folded. These are two features my last one did not have. It even has a removable carry handle. If you plan to travel with it, I recommend keeping the box to make it friendlier to insert into your load. Overall, I am very pleased with this. ... show more

I recently purchased this dog crate for my young snapping turtle when we take him out of the water to dry out periodically, and it is excellent. We can finally take him out of the water without having to constantly watch him to make sure he doesn't go anywhere he shouldn't. The double doors are a great feature, providing easy access from different angles. I also appreciate how easy it is to clean. It is also very easy to fold up. While it's not a piece of decorative furniture, its functionality outweighs any aesthetic concerns. It's been incredibly useful to us. I was super impressed when I received this crate. As soon as I lifted the box after delivery, I could feel the weight and was sure this was going to be a high-quality product. I wasn't disappointed. Everything about it just works well. It was simple to assemble, is very solid once assembled, and most importantly my dog seems to love it! There is plenty of space for my dog to move around freely and to stand up. I love the dual door design, too. It makes it so much easier when traveling and when I use the crate in the back of my car. Please make sure you read the dimensions of the cages, this was way larger then I expected, it was for my small dog and was more suitable for a pitbull, it is a well designed cage and still reccomend

    • Great medium sized crate

This is a nice medium sized metal crate that has two latches to close the door. This makes the crate more secure and harder for my dog to break out of it. The crate is also a comfortable size for my 60lb dog. Overall this is a great option for a metal dog crate.
