  • great bed, great price
Size: Twin/Twin Color: Light Espresso
pros - great price, hard to beat for a bunk bed with trundle - looks great - lots of fun for kids - completely solid pine, no MDF garbage unlike ones you get at Ikea - the trundle slides out nicely and provides extra sleeping area; you can use it as storage instead if you like cons - assembly can be difficult unless you're handy, make sure you read instructions and use the right screws for each part they tell you; I messed up and had to redo some of the screws twice, was my own fault, they look similar, not fool proof; can easily take 4hrs to unpack and assemble esp if 1 person to do all work - some smell from the finish, can take 3d+ to clear - the 4 post rods for stacking the beds look cheap, it's just wood pegs, not metal rods which is standard at least in the old days it was; this is my main criticism of the bed; I would rather pay more for it to come with metal rods. I added metal brackets to add extra support to all ends of each rail on upper bed and where 4 posts join with lower headboard; this stabilize the bed esp since both my kids want to play at upper bed same time; you're not supposed to have more than 1 child on upper bed; also the brackets provide extra insurance should the rail end part break off from headboard. To be fair, the protective rails of the upper bed and plus the ladder provide further support - protective rails on upper bed that prevent a child from falling should be raised higher, I plan to add extra wood piece to make it higher overall, great bunk bed, great value, hard to beat. I don't mind paying more if it came with metal rods, and plus prefer thicker rails and thicker posts for the headboards. I added corner foam pieces to prevent head bumps. For the mattress, I use 5 inch thick foam beds. whatever bed you choose, make sure you want it before ordering, because once you unpack, trying to return can be a nightmare since it's so heavy and so many parts. Also check all screws once a month, since they could get loose if kids shake it. ... show more

  • Wood was cracked when arrived. Returning this bed.
Size: Twin Color: Dark Grey
The media could not be loaded. Part of the headboard panel arrived damaged, has a crack that can cause the bed to collapse if the crack grows. Which is not safe for my kids to lay in it. Other parts were also cracked and the box areived damaged and taped up. Not sure if it was shipped like that or if UPS damaged it. Was very excited and the bed seems great but i will have to go with a different one due to this experience. Did not give 1 star due to not sure if it was the shipper or the manufacturer that caused those cracks. ... show more

  • Good value.
Size: Twin Color: Dark Cappuccino
The bed arrive much sooner than expected, however the hardware was missing. I called the company, instead of amazon right away. I was very surprised that I got an answer from a real person right away! The customer service processed my request and new hardware was shipped right away. By the time I have the whole bed the arrival time was the one I initially was expecting. The bed is very nice looking and sturdy. However just comparing the weight of this bed with the one I have from Rooms to Go I can tell the quality is inferior. With that said, a similar bed in Rooms to GO was 3 to 4 times the price. Therefore, I feel very happy with this purchase. I believe this bed will last a long time too. Assemble was not very difficult. I am not handy at all and it took me several hours ( I did it in two different days) The pictures can be a bit confusing for someone like me with no experience in this type of task. The tool provide is not ideal. I will definitely recommend have a good screwdriver with the right head. Overall I think this is a good product for the price. ... show more

  • Great bed, fast shipping, amazing price.
Size: Twin Color: Dark Grey
I was able to put this together by myself up until it was time to stack them. I love when I can do it myself because my husband works til 530 and I'm impatient. I didn't even need to look at the instructions because the whole bed made sense on how it went together (I do have a ton of woodworking experience so I usually don't need instructions) but would recommend checking them out anyway, I'm a bad example. The only thing bad is when my daughter wants me to lay with her it's hard to crawl in and out because she has one of those roll wall things to keep her from comming out. Or when we have had certain fosters they don't understand they can't sit up without hitting their head. But seriously this bed and trundle is awesome and is a great thing to have, it helps make fostering a breeze without taking up a lot of room and was the best price for any beds with trundle that we found. Shipping was incredibly fast as well. ... show more

  • Sturdy
Size: Twin Color: Dark Grey
Overall I love this bed. It works great in my girls room. The only thing I'm not too excited about are the boards that hold the mattress. They are full of knots and that makes them weak. We had one board break on the very first day. There were a couple boards that were cut a bit too short and we had to fenaggle them in there. We plan on putting some wood sheeting over them to help support them. The bed was easily assembled, the instructions were clear and it's fairly sturdy. I would get this again even with the not so great support boards. The one star is taken away for the boards. Otherwise everything else is awesome. ... show more

  • Piece of crap
Size: Twin Color: Dark Cappuccino
Do not waste your money. She never jumped on it to cause this. Not sure what has happened. She is a 6 year old 47lb little girl. This bed is just junk.

  • Overall, very happy with this bunk bed set
Size: Twin Color: Dark Grey
Mission Bunk Bed with Trundle Twin/Twin Dark Grey, received with a few minor dings to the wood. Acceptable for the price. Fumes were present for several days even with a window open. Definitely have a drill/electric screwdriver for the bed slats. The slats were slightly warped and didn't easily fit the frame. That was the only real frustration with assembly. My two boys (5 & 9) have been using this bunk bed set for five months (with extra use due to more time at home) and still love it. The bed slats on the bottom bunk had to be reattached once but that was definitely the fault of the warped wood and my assembly efforts. I recommend a 6 or 7 inch mattress for the trundle, not a ton of clearance between th trundle and bottom bunk. ... show more
