As the headline says this purchase met my expectations. My particular application for the backup cam and what I wanted and needed it for might be considered unique. It primarily involved trying to back my boat trailer down the boat ramp with a pickup that has had the standard box replaced with a flatbed. This does present some visibility issues that I have tolerated much too long. This installation solved the problem nicely. The positives of this installation is the camera is wireless so I was able to tap into my running lights since I wanted to be able to use it at times I wasn't in reverse. On the other end simply plug the monitor into the power port and it's done. Doing wiring hookups was really quick. The resolution of the monitor is very good and you get a nice sharp picture. The features of camera and monitor are very useful. The ability to add a second camera and then the ability to pick which camera or both on a split screen is great. I think the value recieved from this camera is very much in line with the purchase price. About the company selling this item, they showed commit to their customer when I had to contact them with an issue of a blown fuse on the monitor power cord that somehow resulted in the cord not working after replacing the fuse. I called them and could not have been happier with their customer service. They took care of my problem by sending me a new cord and it was clear to me that my satisfaction was very important to them. Bottom line is I definitely got what I paid for. The backup camera is great had a problem with it working later but called customer support and someone by the name of Mechico helped me get what i needed and followed up on my problem working great now it would be great if they had a website with detailed listing of the variuos parts list with a numberfor you to look up instead just trying to explain what you might need but overall great service after the sale thanks very much would do over again anytime. ... show more

I put the backup system on my pickup truck. It is useful for positioning when hooking up to my trailer. Also is nice to have in parking lots when backing out of parking space. The picture is bright and crystal clear and the adjustments that can be made to control monitor picture are nice. I would recommend the Dohonest brand and would buy from them again Jack W. Let me start by telling you what attracted me to this product in particular. As you would be aware there are many reversing cameras from a number of manufacturers available online. What set this model apart, from my preferred options, was: 1. It had a larger than average (7") screen. 2. It was 1080p resolution, better than the average reversing cameras on the market. 3. Nice wide FOV of 150 degrees (more on this later). 4. Wireless installation 5. Potential for two camera support on the screen simultaneously, if required. My package arrived in good condition (my first order did not arrive, so Amazon organised another shipment which did arrive - thank you!) Everything required for an installation, except for a few basic DIY tools were included in the box. I first tested the system according to the video suggested in the instructions. This was easy to put together and the system worked very well. After having used it for a day or two, these are some of my observations of the good, the bad and the ugly. There were really no bad issues and certainly no ugly issues to report. Mostly good, but some comments follow. THE GOOD: The image on the screen was good and stable. I tested it to distances up to 16m between the camera and the monitor and the image was rock steady with the signal strength still showing all bars, so I would suspect that it would work over much greater distances. My testing was however over line-of-sight, so having a metal vehicle in between could have some effect. I felt confident that it would have no problem performing well on my Toyota HILUX. Also impressive was that, despite the FOV being very wide, at 150 degrees, there was NO noticeable (barrel) distortion in the images along the edges. This was MUCH better than I would have expected. This meant that vertical lines, poles, buildings etc were straight, even near the edges - great job! The dynamic range of the camera/display system was also pretty good meaning that details could be seen both in very bright and dark areas of the image at the same time. Reducing the contrast and increasing the brightness of the image helped in achieving this. Overall, a very satisfactory result. The display controls worked well and gave good adjustment ranges to the image (brightness, contrast etc). The mount had a feature I had not seen before. Not only had it the usual suction mechanism, but it was also very sticky. I found that it would stick to the windscreen (sorry, windshield for the rest of you!) without using the suction mechanism. I got the impression that using both, it would never fall off by itself. THE BAD: nothing really bad to report. If I was to criticise anything, I would say that, while the image was quite good resolution (much better than most other reversing cameras out there), I was not totally convinced that it was as sharp as other 1080p devices that I had seen. However, and I cannot confirm this yet, but it MAY have been that the camera lens focus could have needed a little adjustment. I might experiment with this later. However, this was really nit picking! I am getting a second camera, so it will be interesting to compare the two. Colours were very good. The guide lines which are superimposed on the image have a lot of versatility in resizing them and moving them around etc. THE UGLY: nothing I noticed. Since the unit was new, I cannot comment on the reliability of the unit with time and under different environmental conditions etc. However, the remote camera and monitor did appear well build and the camera module did appear well sealed. Overall, I would have no hesitation in recommending this unit. Its major selling points are much larger than average viewing screen and 1080p resolution. The fact that it can simultaneously support two cameras will also appeal to some users. I also really liked the no barrel distortion images.     • Great DOHONEST Camera kit it had every thing that I needed to install.
Great Wireless camera. I installed it in a Subaru Outback. The license plate bracket did not work because the camera blocked the tailgate release button. I used double sided tape to mount the camera on the inner panel of the tailgate so that the camera had a view out the back window slightly above the license plate. Wiring to the Backup light was easy with the provided wire clamps. Works great ... show more
