I purchased this toy for my American Pit Bull Terrier mix. He is a heavy chewer and destroys toys easily. This toy has barely any marks on it. Our pup has been chewing on it for 7 months! I highly recommend for heavy chewers. It is surprisingly weighted. So not suitable for smaller breeds.

I have been trying so many different toys this one has both the chewy cover with the hard inside. He does focus on getting the chewy part off, he hasn't completely succeeded yet, but he also loves the very hard inside. This one is a winner.

I was SUPER excited after we initially received this!! It seemed perfect for our 9 month old black lab Tatanka who typically goes through "tough toys" within hours, so when this one lasted a few days, I was really impressed and even bought 4 more similar toys from different sellers. Unfortunately, just a week after having Mr Alligator, He met his demise. I'm still giving this 4 stars because while it was NOT in fact indestructible, Tatanka absolutely LOVES this toy and it keeps him busy longer than any of his other toys, plus it's not super expensive like other tough toys! I'll follow up a review with the other brands as well, though those ones have speakers and Tatanka is obsessed with extracting squeaker by any means necessary hahaha. I thought I finally found a toy my husky wouldn't chew through. Within 2 days they had started removing the outside layers. On the other hand, I haven't found a chew toy yet that has lasted longer. This thing lasted forever. When it reaches its end (due to aggressive chewing) it becomes dangerous. Sharp and pokey, but thats a owners responsibility to take it away.

I thought my dog was an aggressive chewer but this was a little too strong for her. It's really solid. She's 10 and it would have been perfect when she was younger and more destructive. (LOL) I gave it to a friend with a truly aggressive chewer and their dog loved it as did his owner.

I thought this would be great for my 1yr old golden retriever/boxer mix as she destroys all toys even ones made for aggressive chewers. We've only had this thing in the house for almost 10 minutes and she's already broke it in half. She's proud of herself and thinks she now has 2 instead of 1.
