We have a chocolate lab and live on 6 acres. Needless to say, cannot have the property fenced in and our lab loves to chase the deer and wildlife that lives on the property. I had previously been using another brand, but after having to replace it twice I decided to look for an alternative. And boy have we been pleased. This is a very sleek looking system. The collar is very soft and the transformer is small but has a visible green light that you can confirm that it is on and working. The remote is small, but has lots of options . Not everyone is a fan of this type of dog training collar, but with the correct training it is extremely effective and you don’t have to use the shock. All we have to do now is tell Maggie that we are going to get the remote and she looks at us and sits down. It helps us correct her bad habits of nudging guest at our house or barking when she wants something. All I do when she’s straying outside and won’t come back in, is just press the button and use the vibrating system and she comes running. It’s lightweight and the charge last a really long time. It’s easy to charge in a very comfortable price point. I would highly recommend this product and will definitely purchase again if we have a problem with our current one. ... show more

This worked well. All three functions were very effective. The beeping function was significantly loud. The vibration was good. The shock function had a lot of levels, and that made it easy to determine, which was the best for our dog. I bought this for my Chihuahua Cocker Spaniel mix who has become needy and over protective since I began working at home. She barks at every noise from passing cars to high winds Heaven help when the mailman gets close to the property...and this is all without seeing what she's barking at. When all this is Going on while I'm in a meeting this is problematic. I bought the collar to train her whem it was appropriate to bark and when its not to. I do not have an aggressive dog and never intended to use the shock option. Before i put it on her. I read the directions to fully understand the buttons I was pushing. Its fairly easy to use. Unfortunately even on the most adjusted range it didn't fit well and hung lose. Since I wasnt using the shock level it didn't matter. Using the beep mode worked as it should. If ahe wandered away (not that I let her go leashless) the beep brought her to me. Not because she waz searching for the spund but because it seemed to scare her. When she was barking at the wrong time the beep once again silenced her. However because my baby is part chihuahua, she has that constant nervous energy. The beep will make her stop. We wete getting to the point where she wouldn't always bark at things she normally would. Yet, regardless if it was wandering to far or barking, the beep would cause her to try and jump ib my lap out of fear if I was sitting. i had to rethink the issue. The lo9k of sheer anxiety on her face was painful to watch. I never let her see me actually pusj the button because I never wanted her to be afrain if me. So for those people who say my dog gets afraid and all I have to do is bee seen getting it, thata mot the best ideal I advise everyone to try the shock on your own arm or leg before you put it on your fur baby. Do not kid yourself and say thw fur will buffer the shock. Do clothes buffer the shock on tazed humans? As stated onost of these colors research or talk to a professional. If your dog is large and aggreasive and you think your going to use the shock option to halt aggression, you may only irritate them more. I found without the correct knowledge, beeps may be to much for some and shocksnot enough for others. All in all it is a good quality and value for the money. It is made of durable materials and can be a good training tool if used by those who have done their research ... show more

I got two rescue dogs from a shelter about 8 months apart. The first is a Beagle/Shepherd mix who had been abused the second a Rotti/Lab mix who had been neglected. Not raising them from puppies it made retraining a little difficult. Both are excessive barkers and diggers (yard looks like a war zone). So I decided to try this product since it came with two collars for a reasonable price. I got the one that has a range of 2600 feet, can use on 4 dogs and has an extra boost feature on the zapper for hard headed dogs. This works great and I've only had to use the beep and vibrate to get the dogs to obey. I couldn't be happier. They bark, I beep and they shut up if not I vibrate and then which one is barking stops. The only issue I have is having to toggle between icons on the remote between 4 dogs when I only have two. So I decided to solve that problem by buying another one but in grey and only one collar. This way I have both remotes set to dog number 1 and can used on both at the same time. I've never had to use the zap feature so I consider this very pet friendly. ... show more

My dog only wears this when the grandkids come over so he won't run out the front door. He is a little half breed chihuahua and is stubborn. This collar works great without harming him. Battery life last atleast a week for us cuz we don't use it daily. It has 3 settings one is a loud beep,vibration mode and shock mode. The settings are adjustable. We keep our settings on 1 which is very light shock. What I mean by that is my granddaughter touched it when I hit the shock button and she could nearly feel it. The vibration mode we also keep it on 1 and it gives a light vibration. It doesn't hurt the dog it just helps follow your command. ... show more

The main reason I chose this collar was the multiple options for correcting our dog's behavior. I normally use the vibration option, as I consider it to be more humane. Our dog is only 18 months old and he is very energetic. He thinks everything is a toy and he is constantly trying to take things outside. He is quick, but when I press the button, he drops whatever he has. He also loves to play with our deaf 16 yr old cockapoo. We can tell by her vocalization when she has become tired of his harassment. I press the button as I scold him and he stops. He's learning very quickly about what is acceptable and what is not.
