    • The perfect affordable and effective training collar for most dog owners!
We looked at dozens of dog training collars before finally deciding on this one. At the end of the day, our decision came down to price, features, reviews, decent battery life and ease of use for everyone in our family, including the kids. Having simple and devoted buttons for beep, vibrate and shock is must and I would not own a training system that didn't have this feature - no switching modes so you can get the immediate action you want on the collar so the dog knows the exact moment he needs behavior improvement. We've found our German Shepherd puppy will obey commands with just the beep mode in some instances and will usually obey with the vibrate mode (which is not adjustable but perfectly effective in most cases). When he is extra hyper in the morning a mild shock (30 out of 100 on the scale, with the rubber tips on the electrodes) is extremely effective but not harmful, though he only needed occasionally. After less than a week of use, he is already obeying much better and is more focused overall. The need for shock mode is decreasing daily and I suspect we will rarely have to use this mode in the near future. We also like the simple lock button feature on the controller - a great thing if you keep the controller in your pocket or purse sometimes but want to keep the controller active. This prevents accidental shock, vibrations or beeps, which is important as you don't want your dog to be "buzzed" for no reason which can confuse the animal and make training more difficult. While not as small as some others, we like the size of this controller. It's large enough (plus ours is blue, which stands out a little better when laid down on the counter) to easily see, which helps to prevent it from getting lost in the house but yet it is perfectly ergonomic when being used. I actually wouldn't want a smaller controller. The batteries are holding up well. After about a week, the controller is still at full power and the collar, after very frequent use in the first several days, was showing 50% battery. We love the fact the battery life for the collar and controller are both displayed on the controller display - no guessing when your dog's collar needs to be charged. We also appreciated the fact that the collar is a good heavy duty collar with a very wide range of size adjustment. It may appear bulky to some, but if you have a medium or large size dog, this is the collar style you want. Many other dog training systems we looked at come with collars that are pretty cheap quality. For the price, this system is hard to beat. It is high quality, doesn't have unnecessary buttons or rarely needed gimmicky features, offers good battery life, is easy to recharge, is extremely effective and is beyond easy to use. Even our youngest child, who recently turned eleven, commented on how easy this system is to use. In fact he was the most excited it did work, since our puppy loved to jump up on him and nip him the most! Needless to say, our whole family is extremely happy with this purchase and we highly recommend it. Our puppy is now easier to train, is much better behaved after only one week of use and is much more enjoyable to work with overall, especially important as he gets physically bigger. For most dog owners, there is no need to spend hundreds of dollars on a dog collar training system for your pet. Don't hesitate to look at this one! ... show more

Purchased this collar to try for a pup at work (I manage an open home style dog daycare/boarding facility, no kennels or crating all day just loose playing like at home)The parent of this extreme high energy, unruly, lab pup thought the dog just didn’t like her because of excessive non stop (and I mean non stop) barking and acting out ! Was thinking of rehoming her. She was Paying for professional training (ugh treat motivation no less) well not to knock a trainer I’m sure it works on some dogs . Anyway training helped some at home however did not help anywhere outside of home. I suggested a collar , (which I personally only suggest with certain behavior problems) Mom was hesitant ya know no one wants to shock their dog n make them afraid of you n stuff, but this collar is wonderful it has shock level up to 99 ( yeah, holy cow) Well, we got the collar to try, $40 is a super deal but don’t think it’s not good quality like those that cost over $100 Or $200 even cause this collar is flipping awesome, and so easy to use . It has 3 options ... you can just push for a beep sound to get the dog’s attention, or push the vibrate button for a nice lil vibration, or the shock button for a quick zap. Now don’t think it’ll jolt the dog to pee itself or run off screaming because the settings go from nearly nothing up to 99 . I place the collar nodes (the two metal pieces that actually touch the dog when activated) in the palm of my hand and test the shock on myself first to find a good level for the particular dog according to its temperament and drama queen level. Blu the dog purchased for is a sister sassy pants , back talking, do bad stuff on purpose to get attention kinda dog. When the collar arrived it was set on 39, I zapped myself (thank goodness) first n wow kinda a bit like grabbing an electric cow fence for a second. N Blu isn’t that bad... I turned it down to zero n worked back up to 15 zapping myself at each level. 15 perfect for Blu. Less jolt than a good quality joke hand Buzzer. After 3 days of daycare I swear to you I had a whole new dog, and she only got the zap button a handful of times. Now her mom only has to show her the remote and she’s good as gold. At daycare each day I put on her collar when she arrives an rarely ever turn on the remote. If she’s naughty and I’ll pick it up n say Blu stop that’s it. I’m telling you if you buy this collar and use it as intended and follow steps from sound to vibrate, and zap as last resort you will not be disappointed and will recommend it forever just as I do. I have had other clients borrow Blu’s collar to try on their dogs and now there are more who are amazed at the results and have purchased their own. And my daycare runs so much better with no migraines 🐾. :) and one client is no longer afraid to walk her dog or go to a dog park off leash. Her pup yanked free from her and chased a jogger, she borrowed Blu’s collar and used it for a weekend and all her pup needs is the sound setting , his zap setting is only 13 cause he’s a drama queen (amazing) both dogs are pictured wearing their collars. Only downside is that a new remote can’t be purchased separately. The remote is NOT waterproof like the collar :( so if you drop it outside in the rain like I did it doesn’t work even if you put it in rice . Hence why I had to purchase this last one . Sorry so long of a review but It’s a wonderful product. Side note myself and the overnight security guy have tested level 1 through 79 on ourselves and 39 on our neck , haven’t gone past 79 yet. The levels do change some are a single pulse some are a double or triple pulse. That’s why I suggest testing the strength on your own hand before using on your dog and always place the nodes to the side of the neck not over the throat. Oh yeah the remote also has a lock button so you can’t accidentally zap your dog if you’re like me and put the remote in your pocket n sit on it . ... show more
