We have two Pomeranians who need a cut about once a month. The curved scissors are probably good for cutting around the face and paws and having the tips of the scissors can probably prevent a few painful experiences. The straight scissors are good for cutting out tough to untangle mats. For us the comb is useless at it just get caught up. We thought one of the scissors missing from the kit were nail scissors to cut the claws. One of the photos we included shows what we feel are necessary for our Pomeranians. The two combs are essential, and one also removes the tangled undercoat. The nail scissors or clippers used as well as the special wire brush. We'll probably replace the scissors we use with two from this set with the blunted safety tips. ... show more

Excellent dog grooming scissors set. Packaging is wonderful with very nice leather zippered storage container. Inside the scissors each have their own spot along with a metal comb and cleaning cloth. Scissors are very sharp and cut cleanly. Very pleased.

I ordered these for my Daughter to use on my long haired German Shepherd. His hair is fine, in some places frizzy and very prone to knots. My daughter has been a groomer for over a decade and said these are some of the nicest she has ever used. Great set to have at home for those frequent trims!

These are a pretty decent quality set of scissors for grooming touch ups and quickie trims. My daughter is a beginning groomer and has a set of scissors but I ordered these for her to have on hand because a couple of these are of a smaller size which might be helpful for smaller animals and this gives her a bigger variety.
