I’ll start this review with the good things. The remote and collar charge very quickly, they have excellent range and decent battery life on the collar. My puppy has responded very well to this and I have only had to use the shock option once or twice when he was actually in danger of getting attacked by an alligator in a pond and wouldn’t listen to me. The shock option worked very well on the low settings. His training has improved 1000% and it is a great feeling to know that if he is out with me in the woods etc. he will come back with just a simple push of the beep option. He was never afraid of it because I trained him correctly to understand that it was not punishment , and in fact, gave him rewards when he responded now for the improvements that are needed,… The remote has a lanyard that comes with it that you can hang around your neck or your wrist etc. but I think it would be great if it came with an optional belt clip. I personally do not want things hanging around my neck or my wrist and the belt clip Would be great for a hands-free option because you could leave it on your belt and simply push the buttons. The other improvement I would like to see is haptic feedback on the remote. I have a vision impairment and I have memorized the buttons and they are big and easy to use and the shock button is orange and larger. But I think it would be good for anyone using this to be able to feel the vibrate and the shock as well. If you’re going to use it on your pet, then you should be willing to feel it on your thumb when you use it etc. I tried this out before I put it on my dog and I put it on my calf , and it’s not bad it’s somewhat like a hot wire on a fence to keep the horses from getting through. I have a large dog but he’s no horse lol. That is really all of the improvements that I feel should be done. Otherwise, this is an excellent tool for behavior, modification and rewards , and it very well may save the life of your dog! ... show more

The on/off button broke on the collar within 4.5 months with minimal use. I turned it on and it made a weird sound, it seemed to have turned itself off - went to turn it back on and the button is stuck tried getting it to pop back out and.. no luck. With that said - this is my 2nd time buying this product (first one the cover for the charger came off on the collar and I forgot to take it off before he jumped in a pool) it’s a great product. Works super well on my 115 pound mixed breed (German shepherd/rottie/staffy). He doesn’t even necessarily need it to work he listens great just knowing it’s on. But incase of an emergency, I do. I must have just got sent a defective one this time. my rating is for the overall product ... show more

I have a four month old pup. The collar has a beep mode a vibration mode and a shock mode. The beep part works like it should and she hates the vibration the shock won't penetrate her fur I guess. So far she doesn't like the vibration mode but you need the shocker to deter unwanted behavior. I had hear such great things about this system but have to say I'm somewhat disappointed. Maybe there is something I don't understand. If the shock part worked it would be and incredible product. I tested it on myself so it does shock, just not enough strength I guess. ... show more

I had purchased one of these in 2020. It worked great. Wanted another one for keeping on our RV as my dog does not like to poop while on a leash and the previous collar worked so well. I had not had to use the shock feature until today. Unfortunately, this collar does not work at all on the shock setting. I found this out when he ran away from me and did not respond to the beep, vibrate and shock. I checked it out and the shock does not work at all. Now I am going to look for another brand that will work. I am out of the return window for this one so I can't send it back. Update: The seller has responded to me and is sending me a replacement as it is under warranty! I am changing my rating to 5 stars. ... show more

I missed the return window by 1 day. I have fought this thing since I got it My 1st one was great. This one will work with up to 9 collars. Ever time you turn it on to use it you have to search through the collars to figure out which one your single collar is set up on that day. I only have 1 collar. But if you shut off the remote it resets. I use the beep to call my dog back. I turn it on to use it an boom. It fails. I kept trying. I didn't need it all the time. Today was the last straw. I'm sick of it. So I went to return it knowing I had tried my best to make the stupid thing work and guess what. I'm out my money. I missed it by 17 hours. Crap. I don't know if they all will work this way. But if you buy one and it messes up. Return it immediately. ... show more
